topic Callista Tools Embellish Definer? in Beauty

I have short, fine, somewhat thin layered hair, and was blown away by last night's on-air demonstration of Callista Tools Embellish Definer styling product. The rep squirted a pea-sized drop of the white, creamy product into her palm, rubbed and then clapped her hands together, and the substance became colorless and seemed to produce gossamer, almost-invisible strands between her hands. She quickly stroked and worked the product into models' clean, dry hair........and MAGIC happened! Hair poofed to three times its previous volume. With a little quick, deft finger-maneuvering, hair was swooshed into attractive, finished styles. A ladylike flip? Fluffy bangs? A spiky look? Pretty layering showed up as never before. Even Amy fluffed a little of the product through her hair on-air. Almost no time or effort, and I've never seen such results!

OK. Has anybody used this stuff? Is this for real? $33 for a couple of cans of hair product is pretty steep, but if it's anything like this fantastic, it would almost be worth it....... Online product reviews are mixed; it seems people either love it or hate it, and not much in between. What did it do for you? Can you leave it in your hair more than one day, or do you have to shampoo daily with this? Do you have to re-apply daily? Is it sticky? Looking for feedback from real users.

I, too, was intrigued by this product and purchased it, but not from QVC. It's not really sticky, and I think it would have to be reapplied daily. My hair is short, ear lobe length, stacked at the back. I don't think it works any better than a good quality styling product like a mousse, and would not buy it again. I don't see how this product can produce the hairstyles on the models unless their hair had been styled already and then brushed straight prior to the demo.

So I have to disagree with the previous poster....just to confuse you more right? I have short, very fine hair that I wash and style daily. I have never been able to get a style to hold in my hair until I started using this product. Now mind you, I do use the In Styler on my hair to give it volume but without this product, the style falls. I love Embellish and I know it seems odd that it does not make your hair sticky, but it really does not. I really think it is an amazing product and you really can get your hair to do just about anything you want it to do with Embellish. I would tell you to give it a try. If it does not work for you then you can send it back. I know it has been a real God send for me as I finally have a product that will hold my style all day.

I wouldn't want to shampoo my hair every day, as it would shorten the life of my color, and my hair gets dry with daily shampoos. Can you re-apply and re-style with this product if you don't shampoo every day?

It is really really sticky, and I found that I had to wash it off every night. Re-applying was not an option. My hair was chin length (it is now shoulder length) when I used it. There are plenty of similar products on the market that cost much less.
