Skinn Order From Hautelook. Old Products?

Need some help / advice if possible. I ordered some Skinn from Hautelook when they had the sale. Fast shipping this time!! I ordered the Chin Up Duo , the Lip 6x and a few eyeliners. These are the only Skinn products I had any success with and was excited to get those prices! The Chin Ups are NOT the same version as the ones I ordered this summer from Evine ! I assume these are before he " improved" them as they do as they do not have ProLift on the bottles. I did email Skinn and asked them if these were still good and when they were made. There are no batch / manufacture codes stamped on the bottles. Skinn emailed back and said they did NOT supply the products for the Hautelook sale. Wonder where they came from? Evine ? I am kinda ticked if these are over a year old since they have 2 year shelf life unopened and I bought a couple for backups. Also not happy that they sent the wrong liners and also 2 of them didn't even have the Skinn name, color...well they had nothing at all printed/stamped on the pencil. Anyway....does anyone know when he started selling the current Chin Up version?

I purchased several and all of them say "ProLift Intense" on the bottle. It looks the same as what I've bought from Evine. I thought he only changed the formulas for the Stem Rejens, but hasn't done anything to the Chin Ups?

I ordered the crease release day cream and the wrinkle balm night cream set and also the set of the two neck creams from Hautelook. I never used any creams from Skinn Cosmetics except for the orchid gel and the moisture mask (watermelon scent) which I like very much. I would also like to know if these are older products because the crease release I received is less creamy and has a more liquidy consistency, which I find very unusual to be put in a jar. I have to be careful not to tip it or it will spill out. That is why I was wondering if anyone has used this particular item, is this normal? The wrinkle balm is more creamy and the scent smells like Hope In A Jar by Philosophy. I only used them one day so I really can't say if I see a difference yet but they all feel good on the skin. Does anyone have any input as to their experience using these products? Thanks!

Ok I went and double checked....a couple yellow DO have the Prolift but the others all are the older version and have a little round sticker on them that says Pro on it, but the bottle just says Chin Up Redensifying and not with Pro Lift Intense. The blue bottles are ALL the older version and just has the little Pro sticker. It also says Chin Up Firm, Lift & Tone. The version being sold now says Firming & Lifting Serum ...no tone . If the formula changed less than a year ago I am not gonna worry, but if it changed awhile ago....? I find it interesting that they were sending out both versions since I did get a couple of the yellow that are newer and a few older? Guess I can email Hautelook too now since Skinn says it wasn't from them. I'd just like to know how old before I send them a note.

I ordered some cosmetic products from hautelook several years ago and was displeased with the quality. Of course, it was an item that I'd never tried, but it really was garbage. It wasn't Skinn, by the way, but it was bad enough that I decided to skip hautelook from there out. It just seemed...off somehow.

Look on the bottom of the jar and see if there is a stamp. I did get a couple of the Happy Body creams and they have a 2014 code. Sorry I have never used the products you got so I could compare consistency for you.

Well that's not good to hear ! This was my 1st order with them. I assumed they got it from the Manufacturer, but in this case, Skinn told me they didn't supply the stock for the sale.

The Crease Release Day Cream I've received in the past was more the consistency of a cold cream...thicker and heavier than you're describing. This doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with yours. I've had differences in moisturizer consistency from batch to batch, and they were all fine and worked well. The Crease Release wasn't my moisturizer of choice as I used another one from his prior brand, Parthena, until the Collagenesis 24 Hr. YPCream came along, but many liked it. The Wrinkle Balm I use evenings this time of year especially and it makes a huge difference if the cold/heat is taking a toll on your skin.

I can see why you're perplexed, Sue. What even muddies the water more here is that Hautelook states on their site that the products are shipped from the "brand". I wonder if whoever you spoke to at Skinn might have been mistaken. That doesn't necessarily answer your question on the Chin-ups, but it would be easier to get an answer if you knew where the items were shipped from. As I recall, the Chin-up change to "pro" was back in 2012, but I don't think the components are date or lot stamped.

I have ordered lots of cosmetics from Hautelook and been generally happy with them, with the exception of a Laura Geller cream blush duo I gave as a present. My friend said that it had dried up. Instead of getting the gift back and returning the item, Hautelook gave me a portion of my money back.

Vijay/Gokat (lol Kindle still corrects me ) Well....they do have a sticker on them that says PRO , just does not say Pro-Lift on the printing on the bottle. The blue also has a different terminology on the bottle, as in firm, lift & tone, and it is different now. sighhhh The newer of the yellow that I got does have a 2014 lot stamp. So maybe 2012 was before PRO , but with the PRO sticker on it maybe it isn't as old as 2012. Not good. The email I got was from Athena. I wonder if I can post it here? I did reply and ask her if she could let me know when they did in fact switch to the new formula. I want a little info for when I contact Hautelook with this. The lip 6X has no date or lot/batch stamps. Thanks for the help !

Unfortunately as some noted this was a Final sale. I don't have a Rack open near me until this summer.

Good to know they made good on the LG order...kinda. I am thinking with the stock offered it would have to be Skinn or Evine. This isn't sold anywhere else right?

I don't believe this is a HauteLook mistake but rather whoever supplied them the merchandise. I would think HL would want to know about it actually. As I stated before I got eyeliners that had black/gray on the sticker on the clear packaging bag. The liner inside the bag was NOT that color. I am sure the HL employees just bag up the orders. Also would think that when they contract w/ whoever, they are assured they are selling / sending fresh merchandise. Not something that is gonna be 3 years old.

They still should be able to tell you when it was manufactured based on any lot codes or information on the packaging (either on the boxes or on the jars/tubes/product itself). And if there isn't any, that would be something SKINN should know because everything that gets manufactured is suppose to have a lot number or some sort of traceable code in case there is an issue with the products.

Sorry to hear some of you are having problems with your HL orders. My order was correct and seems just fine. I did notice the pro stickers on the chin-up, but did not think anything of it. One other thing on the packing slip it says, on orders they will let you return by mail, there is a 50% re-stocking fee!

HD Yep I agree. I was surprised that the older chin ups and the 6X has nothing. The other things from my order DO. Unless it is in invisible ink lol I know how to look for the faint marks and there is none. Tried every angle and light angle...nothing. Also looked for any kind of date. Maybe someone else who has one of these can find it. I sent an email back to Athena @ Skinn and will see what she says. Kind of leaving that question to be answered before I contact HL. 1 year old I can deal with. almost 3 ? Nope. I wonder if anyone who got the older Stem Rejens can look to see if there are any dates / stamps on them?

The mascara I received was old and dry, same with the blush. His kabuki brush shed like crazy. So the only things that seemed to be fine was the Chin Up and the lip serum. Overhaul, disappointing to say the least.
