Just started using the Double Duty Cleanser which is supposed to "cleanse, tone, balance." It leaves a lot behind. I had moisturizer and Tarte foundcealer on (no primer) and it didn't take everything off. I'm trying not to use my clarisonic because I have broken capilaries. But the cleanser alone just isn't cutting it. Has anyone else experienced this? Purity takes everything off! I ususally like to stick to one brand at a time but maybe I'll use Purity and then apply my isomers serums and creams.

I have this cleanser on order in a kit that has the Antarticine the lip balms and the ceramide...I LOVE Skinn cleansers AM/PM so if I don't like this one ,no loss...I find it best for me to remove my eye makeup with Neutrogena eye makeup remover, then I use a makeup removing cloth to get makeup off, then I use a cleanser with my Foreo Luna ( I have Dimitri's sonic brush too but I just love my Foreo Luna) I haven't used just one thing to remove makeup and clean my face since Jafra in the late 80's (it was GREAT! but of course they reformulated, it stunk, I moved on...) Your idea of using Purity, which I have never tried, is a good one then serums/creams etc...

My eyes are sensitive so that is why I use the NG oil free remover...as far as using makeup remover wipes, I feel it takes off that layer then I can deep cleanse with a cleanser and Foreo...I have used just D's night cleanser and it removes everything ok but sometimes we are creatures of habit and have our rituals...

I am not thrilled with the Double Duty. I did not find it particularly effective to remove makeup.

I too use the Neutrogena eye makeup remover. Any cleanser, other than Johnson baby shampoo, irritates my eyes.

BTW, I don't like Purity. I have nothing against it as a makeup remover, but it irritated my skin. However, if it works for you, why change?

I remember on the last Manuela visit she responded to someone's question, if this cleanser removes make up. Her answer was "no" for this purpose. I don't remember, what she did suggest to remove make up with, but clearly remember - this is NOT a make up remover.

Though I manage to remove my make up with it, no problem. Just use a little more, if I have it on. I find it to be a very good cleanser for the skin, it does brighten up from using it even alone.

Not only the oils, but I clearly remember recommendations to remove the make up first with a "make up remover", or wipes. There are even tons of products for this specific purpose.

Isomers cleanser cleanses and balances your skin, but it is not a make up remover. Though I manage still to do so with a little more of it.

No, it doesn't work well as a makeup remover'but it is a good balancing cleanser. Perhaps you could use it as your morning cleanser? I sometimes use it this way and this way you won't waste your $. Hope that helps.

All I want to say, which ever way you'll decide to remove your makeup, the Isomers Double Duty cleanser is an excellent product! One must have well balanced skin, like fresh, clean canvas, before you start with the rest of your facial routine for it to really work well.

There is no comparison to Isomers products in my opinion. This specific product does skin cleansing and balancing job very well.

Yeah, like was suggested earlier, use it at least in the morning, when you have no makeup on. Or in the shower in the evening. Plenty of warm water will remove a lot of stuff off your face, even before you use your cleanser. All you have to work on just a little bit harder, is your mascara and eyeliner.

I like to spread Double Duty on my face using just a dab of water, and let it stay on, while I am doing something else for couple of minutes.

It is great stuff! You'll see you skin will get glow, get brighter, and lighter, and breathing better too.

Yes, it is very different from any other cleansers you've used. But it is better. Don't give up on it yet!

I use Purity while I have my contacts in and it doesn't bother me.

At the risk of being shot down by Purity fans, I think this cleanser is harsh and does long term damage. Using it with a Clarisonic will just make matter worse, IMO. Better to use a makeup remover and then a "good" cleanser that won't cause underlying irritation.

Just remember everyone's skin is different and reacts differently to products. I've never had an issue with Purity and I have sensitive skin that reddens very easily.
