Doesn't Chaz use PTR?

I just read that Peter Thomas Roth products are tested on animals. Doesn't Chaz use this skin care line with his clarisonic?

I was very surprised to hear this as Chaz is definitely an animal lover. 4 Labs, Right?

Not all people who love animals are automatically interested in avoiding cruelty free products. Many people on these forums love their dogs, etc but don't shop cruelty free. It is a personal choice, each person has to decide what they want to do. Mauren from tarte is an animal lover and sold her company to a parent company that tests. Ellen degeneres is big on animal rights but then becomes a cover girl spokesperson, same with Drew Barrymore before she had her own line. I could go on and on. It may be disappointing to some but it really isn't our place to judge others' decisions on the topic, imho.

To answer your question, DogLvr, I'm not sure if Chaz uses PTR these days or not. I do remember him saying he used PTR Unwrinkle at one time, but the last few times he's been on, he's been talking more about using his own products as his facial cleanser and mask. While he hasn't said one way or another, that just kind of gave me the impression that he wasn't using PTR Unwrinkle anymore, but I have no more to go on than that.

Not everyone who loves dogs insists on avoiding every company who tests on animals.

Everyone picks and chooses and prioritizes. If I avoided every product, service, or company I had a moral objection to, I would be living in a commune off the grid where we grew all our own food, prayed the wind didn't blow any Monsanto seeds or pollens into the garden, and wore only clothing we made ourselves from locally sourced wool that we spun and knit.

I prioritize the things most important to me, as does everyone else, including Chaz Dean.

He did. He still says he's using Unwrinkle with one of his oils after he washes. I don't catch most of his shows, but I heard him say that in January.

I agree, he did say this in one of the most recent shows.

I thought that Chaz used PTR as a face wash with his clarisonic. I would have thought that Chaz would be more conscious of this. How can you not care about animal testing when you care so much about harsh detergents on hair. And the man is an animal lover. He has 4 labs and 2 manny's to take care of the pooches.

I think anyone who uses products tested on animals should tour a testing facility and then make your decision, whatever it may be, based on what you have witnessed. That way you cannot pretend you don't know what the ramifications are for the animals used.

I've heard him say he uses 613 as a face wash with his Clairisonic...followed by PTR Un-Wrinkle.

Maybe you should post this question on Chaz's Facebook page or ask him on Twitter, see what he says?

I think the poster meant to post the question to him on FAcebook so you can ask him why he uses a line that tests on animals since he is an animla lover (which was your initial question), not what he uses.
