Due to a recent infection which I had, I had to stop wearing all eye makeup. I thought this was the end of the world - at first -- but soon found out it wasn't!! However, going without is definitely not my best look!

I have gotten lazy and rarely wear it now but don't feel my best without it. Is it possible to wear mascara without eyeliner? Any time I've tried this, I always make a mess with the mascara around my lid and my lid looks rather empty or bare or something. Anyone have this problem or know what I mean?

I see other woman and it appears that they're just wearing mascara and they look great, but the majority of the time they are not as fair and pale as me and they seem to have darker lashes to begin with --- maybe this is the problem.

Could you please shed some light on this for me? It sounds really dumb but must be something I'm doing wrong or missing. I'd like to just try mascara without liner. You know - just apply the stuff and dash out of the house. But that never works for me.

Thanks for your posts!
