My understanding is that the creator of this was with YSL and helped create Touche Eclat. If you missed the presentation, this is a double the size dupe of TE for about the same money but still costly in for my pocket book.

I feel very elegant using this, I say this with a giggle. As Lisa Robertson puts it, I feel like a "ladies who lunch" kind of person. Love the size and amount of product compared to Touche Eclat. I've never used TE but have seen it.

I'm still trying to justify the $55 price tag. I have this type of concealer highlighter pen from Boots at Target and its very, very good for way less money. But it's nice to feel pampered and I feel pampered with Touche Veloutee. That might be worth the $55. I have to get used to the really big brush, I tend to use my fingers. I like it much better as a highlighter above the brow, to hide my nose to mouth lines, top of the cheeks and back toward the temple for lift, down the center of my nose. Wow, those tricks really do make a difference. It's sheer although it claims full coverage, I would say not full coverage. However, it is so light weight that it's buildable without looking like a clump of concealer tyring to hide something. For under eye, and I have more of a shadowy under eye rather than dark circles, I like my Revlon Age Defying concealer better by far.If you only need to brighten the eye area, this is a dream for that. I'm going to keep this for the feeling fancy factor as well as how easy it is to do the lifting tricks and I need lifting tricks. My face looks very "finished" with these tricks. I feel pretty. I wonder if eating at Denny's counts as "ladies who lunch!"
