Has anyone tried the IT collection through Guthy Renker?

Hello! I don't post often but have a question to ask about IT cosmetics commercial program for GR. I have heard several complaints about that company with the WEN commercial but can't find much online regarding the new IT collection. I really want to try it as I don't see any kits offered on Q and, for me, what Ulta sells is not a good deal. I understand the set through GR is three payments and that's fine, what worries me is the auto delivery set up. I don't wear makeup often so I don't want to get roped into an auto delivery program. Is it really as hard as I've heard to cancel auto delivery with GR?

I haven't tried this set, but for 3 installments of $39 ($120 total) it did not seem like a particularly good deal to me. AD I don't know about GR return policy. At least on Q, it may cost more but you can return it if you don't like it. I know, I sound like such a Q advocate right now, but I've never really heard good things about Gunthy Renker. It's all hearsay, but I've heard it is hard to cancel their automatic shipments of cosmetics.

I used Principal Secret for over 10 years, ordering it through Gunthy Rinker. Their customer service was excellent; I easily changed my plan, even placing it on hold for several months when desired. When I decided to end my subscription, I had no problems doing so. Their customer service reps were always polite and responsive.

There are IT groups on Facebook and there are reviews of the GR kit. While I would love to try the new products, no way would I pay that for one kit, or get involved with GR. Heard too many times you can never cancel and get billed monthly no matter what.

I ordered the collection. I think the products are great, and the collection is definitely worth the money if you need the products, but I wouldn't say the value is excellent compared to what I've gotten in the past. I would suggest going with the introductory kit if you don't wear makeup often. It truly does appear to be the single payment, and while the quantities are smaller, it might be a better value for someone who doesn't need a large kit. Also, if you want to cancel and have trouble doing so, it won't cost an arm and a leg if they send you a kit you weren't expecting after 90 days.

I have heard the stories about not being able to get out of the A/D plan, but I half expect they're inflated. I was on a Wen one and a philosophy one at various times and had no trouble getting out of them... as a matter of fact, I wish I had that philosophy girl plan back!

I also got the GR kit - received it yesterday. I did get the full size kit but not the one with the extra products so my total was $89.95. I agree that I don't think it's a great value but I don't think it's horrible based on the prices of the single pieces. I bought the light, they did not have fair. I normally use the fair in the BBUE but the fair in the CC SPF 50 is too light and I use light in that. With this new kit the light is lighter than the regular CC cream which is actually fine for me. The under eye concealer in the kit is a very tiny size and in my opinion closer to the fair color so I could actually use it under my eyes. I have not tried the powder but it says light on the box so its not translucent or one color for everyone. Overall, I'm glad I got the kit but will not stay on auto-delivery. Without the bonus products I don't think the price for the core pieces is that good. Hopefully the cancellation process will not be a hassle.

I'm really interested in the ""free gift"" vitality disc too. Is it safe to assume it isn't the large size one like Q sells?

The vitality disc is full size in my kit, so is the mascara and lipstick. I factored this into the overall price of the first time shipment. I will use all three of these items. I also just called and cancelled all future shipments - it did not seem to be a problem - the woman told me I would not receive any additional shipments. HTH.

The kits are also available on the IT website. There is a one time sample kit. But I don't know much about it.

I don't have the kit, but I did buy the Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer. I do like it, but there's barely a difference between it and the CC cream. It's slightly more full coverage, but I still needed to use a bit of BBUE to cover up some redness from a blemish. It did feel great on the skin, like I wasn't wearing anything. I think the CC cream feels rather weightless, too, though.

I've only worn it once (my IT TSV was delivered a day after the foundation), but I did wear it for 12 hours, or so; it wore very well. I'll keep wearing it, but unless I begin to notice significant differences between it and the CC cream (my go-to foundation), I won't repurchase. Although the differences between the products are, in my opinion, almost imperceptible, there is a big difference in price!
