Not crazy about primers, but I use Smashbox, Mally's and Skinn's. I think I like Mally's best and Skinn's second. I've tried Spackles, and it wasn't for me. What I don't like about them is the slickness. Skinn's has the least slickness.

I really like Tarte's Clean Slate Poreless Primer. I wear it under the Tarte Amazonian clay powder foundation and IT Celebration Illumination, and it works great. The little tube lasts a long time. I might only buy it once a year, and I wear makeup daily.

I use Hourglass Mineral (got through Sephora) primer with SPF.

Another suggestion I have is using Mally Poreless Face Defender after your foundation.

It looks way better for me than powder. There is no color or powdery look.

You just use the sponge to PRESS IT over your foundation and blush. You don't swipe it like powder. You don't even need very much. You press it on and your foundation stays in place. You can get the set to go if you want (only on QVC) but I find it needs little to sometimes NO touch up.

Hyacinth

Hi lucky-girl,

I ditto IT cosmetics number 50 and tartes clean slate. Clean slate is more silicone feeling and number 50 feels more like a moisturizer so I tend to use that in the winter and tarte when its warmer. However, I picked up NYX brand's honey dew me up primer and I'm really liking it! Its more of a gel consistency. It had great reviews on ulta.com and I think it sells for about 16$. It is not as "slippy" feeling but dries down to a nice finish. All three extend the wear of my foundation. Ive been using serum foundations this winter and find the IT or NYX work best with those.

I have used a few foundation primers in the past and my favorite, that I use every day is Bare Minerals original Prime Time primer. Also, since you say your foundation disappears, please try Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray too (as mentioned earlier.) I recommend using it as almost the last step, but right before mascara!
