Anyone else disappointed with Laniege?

What happened? You seemed really delighted with the serum a couple of months ago.

I don't use a lot of Laneige, only tried the Water Bank Serum and the Water Sleeping Mask. The serum, I can take it or leave it. I won't repurchase since I'm using SKINN products that I like better. The sleeping mask, however, I really like and will continue to use for the foreseeable future. I only use it a few nights a week. I love the way it feels going on and how my skin feels when I wake up.

Wow... I clicked this because I did get the sleeping water mask and it doesn't seem like anything great.. And, as a coincidence I just now rinsed off a sample of the Sisley black rose mask and couldn't get past the heavy perfume smell.. It's overpowering. Might be awesome but I just can't put perfumey products on my face. I have the best luck with ptr products.

Yes, I liked it ... at first. That was .. 3 months ago. The problem is, over time, it's made no remarkable change in my skin. For example, when I use SKINN, I see an improvement. When I use Sisley, I see an improvement. When I use PTR, I see an improvement. When I use TATCHA, I see an improvement. The Laniege moisturizer moisturizes my skin, but that's it. Does it make the texture look remarkable? Over time, not really. I suppose I should just use it up since I've got so much of it -- day cream, nite cream, water bank serum & water bank sleeping mask. That's a lot of money to toss in the trash.

I have on the Sisley Black Rose mask right now. I'm using it as a day cream instead of the Laniege. Funny, I DON'T SMELL a thing! I put the Sisley Black Rose on my face 4 hours ago & smell nothing. LOL! Regarding PTR, for me personally, there's a huge difference between PTR's Rose Sleeping Gel and Laniege's Water Bank Sleeping mask. When I wear the PTR Rose mask, which BTW, I've worn over moisturizer in the day time, my skin looks amazing. If I sleep in the mask, my skin looks great in the morning. With the Laniege --- my skin doesn't look "bad", it just doesn't "wow" me. By "amazing", I mean, my skin looks so good when I wake up, I don't want to wash my face. The Korres' Rose Sleeping Mask gives me that "wow" effect too.

I don't use Laneige night cream, but I do apply the sleeping mask over my nighttime products, the last one being Collagenesis Creme Reverse. The sleeping mask then goes over that.

Rina - can you apply any color cosmetics over PTR's gel (when you apply it over your moisturizer)? I am guessing that the gel helps keep your skin moisturized which really appeals to me with my super dry skin. I am just curious if any BB cream or TM or even a finishing powder and blush could be successfully applied on top? Would love to know how it might work for you if you do use additional cosmetics on top. Thanks!

I usually use Shiseido Ultimune first then the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask. I like it. But I only use it once every 1-2 weeks. The Water Sleeping Mask is the only product from Laniege I've tried.

@ Wackers, sorry I can't help w/ your question, as I don't wear make-up. You might try the treatment (PTR Rose Gel mask over your moisturizer) without make-up and see how it goes. The combo makes my skin look amazing! I know this sounds crazy, but I frequently wear treatments during the day. For example, today, I wore the Sisley Black Rose mask. I ran errands, went shopping, chatted with neighbors, etc.. Last nite when I walked my dog, I wore SKINN's Wrinkle Soak on my face and the EnergEye Mask on my eyes. I ran into 3 neighbors and we chatted. NO ONE asked me what was on my face. They didn't even notice. So, I was "masking" while walking my dog. When I got home, I just rinsed off my face and went to bed. My skin looked terrific.

Oh rats! I just applied the wrong combo. Washed my face and put on the Laniege nite cream w/ PTR rose gel instead of the Laniege nite cream with the Laniege Water Bank mask.

I wanted to report my results in the morning. (sigh)

Well, even with the PTR Rose Gel applied on top of the Laniege nite cream, my skin looks like I put nothing on it last nite. Tonite, I'll use SKINN's Elixir oil and that'll fix everything.
