I think it depends on how "dry" your skin is. For me, the Josie M body butter works well but NOT for my husband. He has VERY VERY dry skin, he can not use "any old" bath bary or lotion. The First aid creams work much better for him. My husband uses lotion after showering and he is "okay" for the day, but at night then the itching begins. SO once I stared using the First aid cream at night, it made a significant difference. No more itching, no more dry patches, no more scaly skin. So once again, it depends how dry the person's skin is.

Hi ladies - Just looking for opinions/thoughts on the differences between the two and if you've tried both which one you prefer? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I've tired both and prefer the JM body butter. Both moisturize well and go a long way, but the JM body butter has a much better feel after application. JM is silky, whereas FAB isn't...it's less silky than unmoisturized skin. It's not tacky in that it has a quick and good dry down, it just adds some drag when you run your hand over your skin (hope that makes sense). I don't have any skin issues such as eczema, so I don't know which would be better for something like that. So, for me, JM is the clear winner...I love it! I also love her balm, which I had assumed would be greasy, but isn't. Oh, with both of these products a little goes a long way...apply too much and both are greasy. Good luck!

Hi & Welcome.

I have to say that I love both. Is that okay? I LOVE the JM body butters and love the scents that the butter comes in--especially the Citrus. However, I just recently tried FAB and I really LOVE that one, too. In fact, I've been using both. If you want something unscented, I would go for the FAB. And while I know that JM does carry an unscented, I really like Sweet Citrus. They are similar in consistency--I think that the FAB may be a bit thicker.

I think the First Aid Beauty cream is much fluffier and lighter than Josie Maran's body Butters. Both are very good creams and perform up to the marketing claims (leaves skin feeling soft for hours). I like the scents of Josie's, but if scent isn't a determining factor to your decision this is a tough one.

My body skin definitely prefers the deep hydration of the oil content of Josie's. Therefore, for me I'd go with the argan oil. First Aid Beauty is some kind of oatmeal base concoction. It was satisfactory on my face and upper body, but it did not seem to hydrate my legs and feet as deep as I like my creams to go. I was left a little ashy.

Is it the Ultra Repair cream by FAB that you ladies are talking about ? I just started using their facial radiance polish and really like it. It's the only FAB product I've tried.

I'm using the Josie Maran unscented body butter now. I like it but when it's all gone I would like to try the FAB cream. The description on Sephora treats it more like a facial cream the a body cream. I don't need a facial cream but really need a good body cream.

WoW! this is a tough decision for me... I like both, especially the unscented since I'm sensitive and tend to get headaches easily.... The JM seems to be to me, more special occasion and the FAB is more everyday...especially for my hands and cuticles. I use both and will continue to, just ordered FAB in pump bottle. Enjoy!

I like both, but prefer JM's because of the argan oil (hydrates me a bit more than FAB). Also, I like that JM's scents are lighter and all natural. FAB doesn't smell "bad" but doesn't have a "pleasant" smell either. FAB is great for people that have a lot of allergies and super sensitive skin, also for people with eczema and other skin issues. JM's isn't bad at all, just some people might not be able to use it due to one ingredient or another.

I must add I just tried FAB's face cleanser, and it has an unpleasant odor to it. Bummer. But my bf with super sensitive, dry skin loves the face cleanser & cream duo.

Add me to the folks who love both products.

I love the JM, especially the scented ones. Mostly use my JM on my arms, shoulders and decollete. I use the FAB on my legs and feet.

An added benefit to the FAB is that it is excellent for soothing itchy skin, whether it's from dryness or a bite or scratch of eczema because of the colloidal oatmeal.

I also have both and use them differently. I find the JM to be thicker however, I find that the FAB actually sinks into the skin and moisturizes it from the inside out and actually heals it if that makes sense. I have horribly dry legs from the knees down I the winter and use the FAB as a total body cream everyday when I first step out of the shower. Since I have been using it I not longer have dry skin at all!! But I do use the unscented JM as a second layer on my neck and chest area. It just seems to sit more on top of the skin and keep it feeling soft all day. My daughter works in a day care and her hands were horrible from so much hand washing. She has been using the FAB a couple times a day for a couple weeks and her hands are so much better its amazing! I feel it actually does repair and not just moisturize.
