Did Anyone hear Nick Chavez say that he gets beat up on the blogs?

I heard him mention this on his afternoon show and I was curious as to what blogs? I seem to only read positive things about him and his products, I am a big fan of his hairsprays!!!

I heard him say that too. I was surprised, as I don't think I've ever read anything negative about him here.

Hi...

I too just watched his show, and heard him say that...about being thrown under the bus on the blogs...I think he meant the boards...

I so adore him and his products...Wish he was on more for sure...He always makes me smile...

I felt so bad hearing him say that...dont want him feeling bad ever...But it does seem that most vendors and hosts have their moments of negative posts over time...Unfortunately...

I like Nick, and he has some wonderful products, but he needs to lighten up on the sensitivity. He took several jabs at WEN in the shows today. A couple of his models today have worked for other haircare vendors on QVC, including Chaz, and he was very specific-- without naming brands-- to point out that their hair looked and felt much better today. He also took jabs at not cleaning the hair repeatedly mentioning clogging the follicles and pores if you don't actually use a real shampoo from time to time. There were a few other jabs, but I wasn't writing them down.

I feel that Nick's 25 year run on QVC stands on its own without knocking the other guy. He's right that QVC did at one point had him on their pay no mind list. Today was the first time in ages that he's had more than one show in a day, and that is thanks to his customers -- who like Linea loyalists-- have demanded more airtime, and continue to loyally purchase his products from QVC.

I didn't watch. I don't consider these boards to be "blogs" and doubt he meant these boards. There are a lot of beauty and hair care bloggers out there and I suspect he's talking about them. If he meant these boards then complaining about them accomplishes nothing, showing products and specifically addressing the benefits of them or explaining how to use them properly to get good results and possible explanations for poor results would be the best way to go IMHO.

This may be the first time I saw his name around here! I tried his stuff when he first came to QVC. I was underwhelmed and didn't buy any other.

I've mostly lurked over the years, but I've read some pretty unkind things about Nick on these boards, one particularly nasty person posted about him about a year ago, and it was a pretty personal, nasty attack. (The topic wasn't about him, but another product.) I didn't comment on it, because I didn't want to feed the topic, and I won't say anymore about it because it was so bad. On the other hand, most of what I read on here is positive. And, whenever someone is in the public eye, they get a lot of love and a lot of abuse. I don't think it's easy for anyone to deal with at times.

On another note, Inner Wealth, how are you, dear friend? I think about you all the time and I've missed you! I think my emails may have gone to spam on your email. I'd love to catch up with you sometime!

These boards are not blogs, plain and simple. This is a forum. Different beast altogether. So I agree with you on that point. I would assume he is talking about beauty bloggers.

Whew! Now that we've cleared that up...

I like his products. I rarely see his name come up on any of the blogs that I follow, so I'm not sure what he is referring to, but I would imagine that anyone in the competitive beauty industry is going to have some haters out there. And so what if they do? Get a thicker skin, Nick. You have plenty of fans, and you're not going to please everyone. The end.

Blogs are not boards. This is true. But I have heard people use the term "blogs" to refer to message boards countless times. Unless there is some beauty blog out there that is gunning for him, I'd wager that he is talking about these forums.
