topic Are AHA's supposed to be applied around the eye area? in Beauty

I've applied retinol under my eye area with no problem, but didn't know what the rule was for AHA's. I assume it would sting if it got in the eye due to it being an acid, but does anyone put it around their undereye bone area? Thanks for any info.
