Ooooo thank you happy housewife! Good ideas!

Best thing I got was a push button start car, where its impossible to lock yourself out - the car senses the keys are still in it and will beep loudly if you try and lock it from the touch-handle-- no one told me about this feature when I purchased it, and its really one of the best features ever!!

I've been eying the 'mini-mergency' kits being sold this holiday season and want to make the ultimate ones for: my purse and/or office drawer.

What do you keep in yours?

A couple of ideas:

I use contact lens cases to hold hair gel or other creamy beauty touch up products. (Saw this again on R29 website! One of my favorite ideas!)

I have a mini-sewing kit, tweezers, magnifying mirror, mini-ibuprofen, mini-allergy meds, a couple band-aids, small Shea butter tin, all must haves for my office kit.

What do you keep, and have you found any cool containers to hold small portions of bigger beauty items?!

What is your favorite 'travel size' (ie: hair spray/dry shampoo) product that you highly recommend?!

New year - New beauty ideas!

In the cosmetic bag in my purse I have -- a few bandaids , hand gel, nail file, swiss army knife, tide stain stick, lip gloss, small hand cream, a pair of reader glasses in a case, alka seltzer and two pill boxes with a day of my meds and a day of DH's meds, some kleenex and a comb and a $10 bill. I also carry a halo type charger for our phones just in case we need one and don't have them charged. However, our car now has a USB plug so we can plug them direct and charge off the car battery. Also, in our car we carry a battery charger and a blanket, plus the car is equipped with On Star - we don't use the entire full on star service but we can use the phone in an emergency or call and they will remotely unlock the car - the thing we use onstar for the most as I have a bad habit of locking us out of the car.

I have a mini-sewing kit, tweezers, magnifying mirror, mini-ibuprofen, mini-allergy meds, a couple band-aids

I have the same exact items in my cosmetic case! I also carry a travel size perfume and deodorant, allergy meds and Pepto. Since I love makeup, I also have that stashed in my cosmetic case.

One thing that I started to carry was a Tide stain remover pen, it comes in handy for spills.

(I keep a phone charger in the car at all times).
