IT COSMETICS Heavenly Luxe French Boutique BLUSH BRUSH is worse than before RECS Alternative?

I bought a new one during the friends and family sale and it definitely does not apply blush as well as my old one and is definitely not as thick as before. I find myself pressing too hard to pick up color from the It Cosmetics vitality blush.

I want a really good blush brush for:

IT cosmetics Vitality Blush Stain

Hourglass Ambient Blush

Possibly also Tarte Amazonian Clay blush

That's weird. I bought a few of the Vitality Cheek Stains here, that came with the Fresh Boutique Blush Brush, and find it works very well. I only have to touch it to the blush (no rubbing) and it picks up a nice amount to sweep over my cheeks. If I want a little more, I just touch again. It works with my Laura Geller blushes, too.

I wonder if you might like the big angled blush brush in the holiday "buki" set?

My original Boutique brush is from here QVC and I love it. The 2nd one I got is directly from IT cosmetics. Maybe I just got a dud. It's noticeable.
