      <description>&lt;P&gt;Do away with the customer live testimonials...seriously, they are cringe-worthy. Every time I hear a caller call in, I immediately mute the conversation. They are so not necessary. I have not once been tempted by a caller's testimonial. I've been a shopper with QVC for 20+ years. It seems like more and more callers are stumbling over their words, there is dead air, or they simply make the host seem quite uncomfortable.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;It is so awkward at times to listen to these callers. Just my opinion of course. But had to say something.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I too find callers to be awkward and annoying as well. I wish QVC would just stop doing it. Never find the calls persuasive at all as far as the product being shown is concerned. I would never use that as a tipping point to buy something.</description>

      <description>I abhor the call-ins and always have. I used to watch QVC much more often and honestly, the calls are why I don't watch. If I want to listen to someone fumble around with the English language I can save my money and listen to talk radio. I'm glad to see so many others feel the same way.</description>

Sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're sad, sometimes they're boring too, and sometimes they really make the host scramble! I look at the phone calls like everything else: I like some, not others. And it does seem to me that they don't take quite as many calls as they used to.&lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;I don't normally use the phone calls to gauge the products (although there have been many that have addressed a particular issue I've been interested in); I normally use the on-line reviews for that. But for all of us who shop on-line, there are still those that don't use the computer.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm not a fan of callers gushing over hosts ( or hosts gushing over vendors).  Sometimes callers will ask questions that other viewers have about the product.  I have never been asked to speak on the air.  There is one item that the Q offers that I could add personal and meaningful commentary on is the Kitchen Aid stand mixer.  The KA stand mixer is fantastic when you are cooking with kids ( no one is upset because they didn't get to hold the mixer- learned that one the hard way- I was baking with my twin niece and nephew using a hand mixer-after going thru " I want to hold it myself- we proceeded to mix the cookie dough, hit an air pocket,and got dough on the wall. 10 minutes of clean up, and 2 upset kids later ( the other kid did not get to hold the mixer), we were ready to continue baking.  &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt; &lt;P&gt;A KA stand mixer is great if you have limited hand dexterity.  I had a hairline fracture in my pinky around the holidays.  I had already purchased all the ingredients for baking, and I could not hold a bar of soap, let alone a mixer. ( Baking ingrediants are so expensive and I was determined they would not go to waste).  My mom had to come over ( with rheumetoid arthritis in her hands) to mix dough.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
