The FHI thermal brush is on sale for 99 +free shipping on HSN today. Looks like a great stylus. Anyone using it? Other similar tools/recommendations?

Hi Chi, I'm usually on another forumn but read the beauty banter all the time. I bought the perfector at ulta several weeks ago. I have normal to thick straight hair. Style is short to mid length. My take on the perfector in the morning I don't have to 're wet my hair, and blow dry . The tool puts some shine to my hair and does give the fullness the blow dryer does. But takes less time to use which I love. So far I haven't achieved what Calista shows on the account go figure lol!! Is it worth the money I think one should decide on that. I was skeptical reading some of the reviews. Bottom line I'm keeping it and happy I bought it. Hope this helps.

I have both and I like each one for different reasons. I've head the Perfecter for about a year now. I find it's good for getting curl, but the ends get a little frizzy. About a month ago I bought the FHI thermal brush (because I'm addicted to hair tools) and the FHI gives my hair body with a straighter look. I find I reach for the FHI tool more now because it gives me shine and my ends look smoother with no frizz at all.

I didn't really see it doing anything either. I was intrigued originally but then realized it's a regular brush that heats. It's not a round brush. When they were demoing the product, it didn't look to be doing anything to the hair.

I bought the Perfector and sent it back. I have thin, fine, poker straight hair. The Perfector did nothing for my hair. Barely put even a bend in my hair. It wasn't what I was expecting.

I wash my hair every other day. The Perfector worked well on my hair on the second day when it had product build-up in it and some already some curl. But on newly washed, just dried, straight hair? Nothing.

I just bought a Perfector, and will probably be returning it. I have fine hair (but a lot of it), and also have some natural wave. I like it for smoothing my hair the second or third day, but I'm unable to create waves using it. I really wanted something that would help with "beachy waves," but I guess it just doesn't work with my hair type.

I was hesitant to buy it, based on some of the reviews and posts I've read, and although it doesn't work with my particular hair type, I think it's a well-made product (I can't speak for long-term use, though, since I've only had it for around 3 weeks).

I just received FHI Stylus Brush. I already own the Perfector so I made up my mind that if the Stylus didn't blow me away, it would be immediately be sent back. Well...I love it. My hair is more of a bob, so the Stylus seemed to give it lift without the curl that I get with the Perfector. The Stylus seems more for body and smoothing, where the Perfector is more curl (in my experience). However, you can certainly get a curl with the Stylus, but I found it can get much hotter than the Perfector, so when I was twirling it I kept touching the sides which were hot. I'll need to dial it down, next time. With the Perfector, then bristles keep your fingers safe. I found I was able to style my hair MUCH faster with the Stylus. I think both tools have a purpose, but for day to day use, I see me using the Stylus more often than not. Just for a frame of reference, my hair is thick and coarse.
