Any one have any recent drugstore facial cleanser recommendations? I'm looking to replace my Purity. I figure there has to be something that works just as well, but a heck of a lot cheaper. I will say I'm not a fan of Cetaphil (sorry to any one who loves it).

TIA!

I've been using Eucerins Gentle Hydrating cleanser and like it more than anything else I've ever used. I've been using it along with their sensitive Q10 moisturizer for two months now and my skin has never looked better. My break outs completely stopped and my skin is so soft. I've tried the ones mentioned in your post and didn't care for them. I think the cleanser cost $5-6.

Plain old Olay Foaming Cleanser. You don't even need a full pump and it only cost about 5-6 dollars. I like it because it doesn't leave my skin dry or tight at all. Tried a couple of other brands and I always go back to Olay.

Were you looking specifically for an all-in-one cleanser that effectively removes eye makeup, such as Purity does? If so, I have to throw in my 2 cents and add that many of the above mentioned cleansers do not adequately remove eye makeup. In my experience, you must still add the extra step of using an eye makeup remover in addition to most of these cleansers. It's one of the primary reasons I always return to Purity.

Alpha Hydrox foaming cleanser is my favorite drugstore cleanser. Washes makeup off and cleans face well without being overly drying. (I wear mascara and eyeliner and have never needed separate makeup remover). It is a bit difficult to find though, Ulta does carry it. I dislike Cetaphil too, leaves a gross film on my face and never really feels clean.

Been using Burt's Bees Hydrating cleanser with my clarisonic ( clary sage ) since I read about it this summer from a poster here. Love it. If my skin acts up due to change in diet, I use alpha hydroxy swipes to clear it. Again, thanks to another poster. Bees: $ 7 - 9 depending on coupons at Ulta or CVS; AH swipes at Ulta $ 10-15 depending on coupons. HTH.

And then clean with Albolene, and more makeup would still be there on the tissue, which it always was. Anyway, I first use Albolene, wipe the makeup off. Then I go ahead and wash with soap and rinse, tissue off, and still no makeup residue. It really does work and also removing eye makeup/mascara, too.

I have Alboene but found it alone left too much on my skin for the moisture part. I may try your double cleanse method of Alboene first and soap second. I also learned real quick that it doesn't take much at all.

I bought it to use as a pore opener while I exercise to make me sweat more. I use this and one of those plastic sweat suits. I target my thighs and tummy! I do sweat way more with it than I would without. Even though I ride my recumbent bike at 15 mph for 30 minutes, around 6 miles, I still sweated more shopping at Wal-Mart than on my bike without a fan. I don't know what it is about shopping, but it makes my temp go up! My thyroid is wonky, so that is probably why!
