I have had several VI Peels and each time I have seen amazing results. I'm in my late 40's and have pigementation, fine lines and overall bad skin texture. My Doctor normally does the VI Peel Precision Plus which really targets pigmentation. The whole process is very easy to go through. You can't even tell the first two days that I had a peel. On day three my skin starts to peel like crazy and that's when all of the magic happens! I'm done peeling by day 7. I must say, this treatment really holds its reputation of being absolutely amazing!

Hi everyone! I'm 61...and thinking of getting a Laser "peel" and/ or a VI Peel for an early Christmas present. I've seen the photos at the doctor's office of women who have had these procedures...but do not personally know anyone who have had either of these performed. They are quite costly...especially the Laser "peel"...and involve about a week's down time. I have sagging, broken capillaries, sun spot pigmentation, scars....and...just about everything else unsightly that you can of...and would sincerely appreciate any opinions/ guidance/ advice anyone could provide. Are there any at home great "peel" products anyone could recommend? Thanks ever so much for your help!!

It usually takes a series of peels for a clearer look, the photos might not be after one peel.

Ask a lot of questions before you subject yourself to the pain.

I have had peels and they can be rather painful at times

I am 59. I had my 1st VI peel last year and scheduled for another in afew weeks. I had mine done Monday after work, I worked on Tuesday my face was pink you can wear no makeup. I took off Wed, Thurs & Fri. I started peeling on Wed (mild) Thurs and Fri heavy peeling. By Monday my skin looked great. I have freckles afew age spots and redness. The peel did a good job of evening out my complection. I had very mild tingling the 1st night. The Dr. told me to buy Benadryl incase I had itching. They did encourage me to have a series of 3 one a month. Each peel is 400.00 and I cant be taking a week off each month. Good Luck. There are several you tube videos that are very informative.

I've had 2 VI Precision Peels and while it lightened some spots the ones I wanted gone are still hangin' around. It does make your pores nice and clean.

For my money I'm using Dennis Gross Medi Peel and like it.

No at home peel will provide you with the results of a spa treatment process. Two at home peels that I recommend are Skinn A-B-C, sold as a 4 pack used weekly-sold at Shophq. Also the Dr Gross Anti-Aging 2 step peel pads, 30 day supply-sold at QVC. Maybe do a spa treatment 1st and then purchase an at home peel for ongoing maintenance. My esthetician reminds me that peels are a continuing treatment process-not a one time shot. Good luck with your decision & results!

I would highly recommend having the peels done by a board certified dermatologist.

Not one of those 'mall spas' !
