Is their tracfone TSV better than the one we had a few weeks ago. I bought QVC's but saw this today and wondered which phone and deal was better. I didn't activate it as I have til Dec 27 on the one I'm using now. I wanted voice activated text and the QVC rep said it had it, but it doesn't. It's not all that important but if the phone had it, that would be a plus for me. TIA

My mistake..it's not a tsv; It popped up and I thought it was a tsv. It's a samsung for 99.xx

Ok Then I would say that the LG phone offered by Q the other day is the better phone. I love mine.

Hi Otter,

Your phone may have the voice activated text. On the keyboard, there may be a toggle button for it. I couldn't find mine ay first. Check manual or google that for your phone.

I really like the size of Q's latest TSV - I have last year's LG and this one is just enough larger to make it feel more manageable. I did try a Samsung Tracfone a few years ago and the keys for texting were so minute that I almost needed a magnifying glass to use. And that was with my glasses on!

Usually the Tracfone portion of these deals on QVC and HSN are very similar or exactly the same in regards to triple minutes, etc so it really comes down to preference of the phone itself (or the overall deal each is offering.) I almost picked up the Optimus that QVC was selling before the launch of the TSV and am so glad I hadn't gotten around to it as I much prefer this larger TSV handset. It's not too big but just enough increase that you feel you are actually talking into the phone itself and not into the air space below it. I also like the larger size numbers as you can see these numbers so clearly even in dimmer lights or for quicker dialing.

It was getting to the point that many phones were becoming so small that they weren't practical for anyone, regardless of age, but the trend now seems to be going in the opposite direction.

Thanks for the info on the voice activated - I like that feature and will now know how to locate it once I have the phone up and running. I also like that they added an extra 30 days for signing up tho I'll just transfer my remaining minutes and days probably in December. I want to be sure the phone works properly before the holiday returns end.

betteb - I think this new larger version is going to be so much easier for overall use. I am so glad I dragged my feet on ordering the Optimus LG. I buy a new Tracfone yearly as it is such a cost savings and I was getting close to my replacement time. I love that they do add your remaining minutes too as I am still carrying around some from when I rarely ever used it. I am using it a lot more now so will probably end up having to add some time and minutes in the future but they still work out to be such a great deal.

Now our dilemma might be next year if they resort back to the typical smaller size - that might be the time that I hold on to the phone and incur the added expense of buying minutes directly from Tracfone. But hopefully they will get such positive feedback from this larger size that they will continue with larger scale models going forward. Even Apple came out with the choice of a larger IPhone when they released #6.

Here's to both of us enjoying this latest LG.

I'm waiting for a Tracfone $79, deal so I can use the minutes on my LG840 phone which I like and want to keep.
