I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but since I started using this I can't do anything with my hair. I purchased the gallon size, now I'll have to pay to ship it back.

Yeah but if you send it back, use QVC's label- I think it is only like $6.95 for shipping versus a ridiculous amount if you paid on your own. you had never tried 613 before getting a gallon? I always tell people never to get a gallon if they haven't tried it yet.

I cant use the 613 except to mix it with my treatment mask I also don't have good results with it . I would definitely return it its not much $ compared to what a gallon cost that's the nice thing about the Q The largest size I purchase before trying is 32ounce . I just purchased the 613 mousse as I am getting low on SHP I don't think its gonna work for me either hair was greasy like going to give it another try. Remember this everything is not going to work for everyone the same be it the scent or the amount you use . You will find what works for you best

I agree with all of the others that you should never buy a gallon if you have never tried it. I would never buy a gallon since I like having a variety of different formulas.

If you haven't sent it back you might try using it with another Wen formula to achieve better results. I only use 613 once a week but some Wenners use another Wen formula as their 1st cleanse and 613 as their 2nd cleanse. This may work for you.

But, since you have the gallon, why not try using it differently to see if it will work for you? First thing I think of is are you using the right number of pumps, adding some water to it so it froths up - the 613 will take quite a bit of water because it's thicker. Are you dividing the recommended number of pumps in half and doing two cleanses? Are you rinsing enough? There are videos on chazdean.com that show you how to use it and how much for your length of hair.

Remember, not using enough will not get your hair clean and will make it look and feel limp. 613 should give you extra body and bounce.

You have until the end of January to return it - why not give it another chance?

I cant use it either...leaves my hair limp and almost greasy no matter how much I rinse. Actually I cant use any of the WEN scents except sweet almond mint. SAM leaves my hair the best its ever been. I have thick fine hair and I love the SAM. As far as the gallon thing....has it been 30 days? I'm not sure when you bought it or how long you've had it but could you send it back and ask for a different scent? I know many times with other things they will ask if you want an exchange for a different color and or different size. I don't know if it would work in a case like this but QVC is the most amazing at customer service I've ever encountered so maybe its worth a shot

I love 613 but only occasionally mixed with other CCs or as a leave in. I was also tempted to order the gallon but knew that it would take me years to use it all.

If I were you, I would ship it back and HappyDaze gave you great advice. This is the one time where either $6.95 pr $8.95 will be getting away much cheaper.

My hair has loved 613 for a year. I can't commit to a gallon yet.

Try using more moisturizing CCs, such as Fig, SAM or TT.

I always mix 613 with something else. 2 or 3 pumps of the 613 with 6 pumps of either Lavender or Wen Men (lately). Just the 2nd cleanse. I also do not use it as a leave in.

I agree with all those who say try mixing or using it with other formulas. I also wanted to mention that 613 makes an amazing facial cleanser and body wash. Leaves skin fresh, lightly scented and very moisturized. Even if I didn't like it for my hair I would continue using it as skin care since i have had amazing results and my skin just glows. Also wonderful for shaving your legs . Good luck with what ever you decide

I am sorry. I disagree with some of the response. If I spent almost $200.00 for a product. I am not going to try and make it work. Return it.... I personally, am not a fan of 613. I have two smaller bottles that I use occasionally with my cleanses. It's too drying for my hair and not a repurchase.

Lesson learned for you though. I would never had purchased a gallon of a product if I did not know that I already liked it. I purchased TT this past June, because it's my HG product and I use it quite frequently as a first cleanse.

ice: I agree with much of what you are saying here. One of the things that tends to unite WEN users is that many of us like to try new formulas to see if we can keep improving our hair. But I know in my case, the formulas that don't work well for me initially don't typically get better. I can mitigate a so-so formula by mixing it with a favorite, but in the case of a gallon that isn't working, I think I would send it back and invest elsewhere.

I was very surprised by Chaz & QVC's marketing of the 613 gallon. Suggesting a 613 'challenge' to use the formula everyday felt risky. My hair absolutely LOVES 613. But I often read on these boards that many can't use it regularly -- some not at all. Since Chaz strongly suggested buying the gallon for daily usage, I can't fault those who decided to give it a shot.

I really want the Seasonals option. I could be wrong, but just the responses that I have read here in regards to which option people plan on purchasing. I believe that choice is going to be very popular.

You may be right but if I only buy one of the December tsv it would be the core formulas. I will only buy both if I plan on using some of them as gifts. I am not married and am the only one that uses Wen. I don't want to overbuy since I plan on ordering at least the WCM, SOB and SHP when it is offered. I may also try the new winter seasonal but not sure yet. I will have to read the ingredients before I decide if I will order it.

*waving* I am definitely planning to buy the upcoming TSV and like you I'm going to get the seasonals. I have my 2 core formulas that I love: TT & SAM. My favorite way to WEN is TT first cleanse, then SAM and a seasonal mix for my 2nd. I can't wait for a whole new crop of seasonals to play with!

Since this is a 613 thread, I should add that I use 613 once a week with great results.

WHY did you buy the gallon size of something you'd never tried?

I find 613 to be a good addition to my second cleanse .... and if you use 613 by itself, you'll need a stronger styling lotion (NOT the Wen styling cream) to give it more body.

I love using 613 as my facial cleanser. In fact, I have given up using Philosophy's Purity Made Simple and use 613 instead. It removes all my make-up thoroughly...even waterproof mascara. Combined with my Clarisonic and MAN, my skin feels totally clean but so much softer and hydrated than when I used Purity. My husband also uses it to shave. I'm glad I got the gallon. I also use it on my hair, of course. Second cleanse twice a week.
