Does Cold Plasma smell bad?

I recently re-ordered, for the 3rd time, cold plasma and it has a really bad smell. I called the Perricone # and they tell me it's because he doesn't add anything. My previous jars did not smell bad. I wonder if it's a new configuration. I'm thinking of returning and trying some other similar product on another line. Any suggestions? (I also use OVM and like that)

I don't use 'his' stuff. If you live by a Sephora, go there and try it out. Products have to smell pleasant in order for me to use & purchase.

no, it doesn't. I have used it for a long time. It is not perfumed, but it does not have the slight smell the neuropeptide cream might have. That smell disapates quickly.

IMHO, Cold Plasma has an odor, and I really noticed it when I first began using it years ago. Some have described it as a metal + fishy odor. I find that it dissipates quickly.

I didn't try Perricone's plasma (I really don't remember what I bought, to be honest), but it came with a little brown, satin-like bag, small. The bottles were a cleanser and some serum or something "magical" to make your skin feel soft. I don't know why I bought it, but I fell for it and bought this secret sauce. When I opened the little brown bottle of serum, it smelled exactly like the chemical smell which emits from the processing of a hair permanent. That exact smell of permanent chemicals. It was horrible! It stunk. I still have the bottle, I didn't return it because the time ran out and I really buried the bottle because it was such a bad purchase on my part. I wonder what it smells like today? Maybe it's burning a hole in the back of my closet somewhere (kidding). This is my review, and is my opinion of the product I purchased. It, in no way, is an indication nor a fact that these products contain harmful chemicals or chemicals which are the same or similar to the chemicals used in processing hair for permanents. It's just an observation of the stink and smell of such product as purchased by me and I am expressing a comparative similar scent to describe to the reader how bad the product I purchased stunk when the bottle was opened. No, I just bought a kit with a number of the products in it and none of them smell like fish. It doesn't have a "pretty" scent per se but it is definitely not offensive. I did notice the fishy smell from his Neuropeptide cream and discontinued using it because the scent didn't dissipate...or at least for me.

I think since this is a re-order and you smell something way different, it could be bad. I'd return it.

I'm in the process of using up every stash I ever built up - clenasers, serums, mositurizers, etc. Besides filling up too much space in my very down-sized apartment, I've also run into a few jars and bottles of products that sat so long they weren't good any longer. So far, not a Dr. P., but some other well-known names I'll keep to myself because I know I kept these things too long to expect someone else to pay for them!

If I'd opened these things when they were new or even relatively new, and they'd smelled or looked as they do, I definitely would have asked for a refund or a trade.

Ok so I started using the TSV and I finally tried the cold plasma!!! I do smell something a little fish but nothing that screams omg this product is bad... and also after a couple of minutes it goes away. I would send it back and get a new one.

I am have to say I like the cold plasma and all the other products on the tsv, I was sooooo afraid to try because of the fish smell and bad reviews but it just goes to show that all skins are different what works for me, might not work on you.

The jars of cold plasma that I have used have had a smell that ranged from slight to medium. I did not smell that they had good bad but a more a fishy smell that no one smells after application. I have had good success with cold plasma but i must admit that i don't have a strong sense of smell.

I heard people say some of his products smell ""fishy"" smelling. Don't know if it is this one in particular. They claim it is because he doesn't add perfume or other products to hid the bad smell. You are supposed to get use to it.

YES! It has a terrible odor. I tried it at Ulta and it was had a nauseating smell.

Cold plasma is one of my favorite skincare products and it's one of the Perricone products that helped me get rid of some mild rosacea so I won't go without it. I've never had an issue with the scent at all.

I tried Cold Plasma and couldn't get past the smell. It didn't matter what I put over it. It came through loud and clear. I've used other Perricone products that smelled less than beautiful, but nothing that I couldn't get through the day wearing. To me it's kind of a metallic smell with a little fish on the side. On the opposite side of the spectrum, there's Neuropeptide Facial Conformer, his powerhouse product with more neuropeptides than anything else, and it smells like cake batter.

I, too, found the smell unbearable. Just awful! To say it smelled like rotting fish is an insult to fish!
