Cleansing conditioners as a lotion?

I know that actual WEN lotions are made but seeing the 613 presentations, Chaz is saying he uses it as his body lotion as well. Does anyone do this with any of the core formulas. If they can double as a facial lotion that would be great!

A lot of people use 613 as a facial cleanser. My mom uses it as a moisturizer on her face and as a lotion as well. Hopefully someone who uses it themselves will answer as well. Welcome to the Wen forum!! The ladies here are really helpful!

I've never used the CC as a lotion, but I regularly use it as a facial/body cleanser with my Clarisonic. It's ultra-moisturizing and feels heavenly.

I use 613 as a face cleanser. My skin is left hydrated to the point where I don't need to use a moisturizer (but I do).

Thanks ladies I used some BGT on my face and although my skin feels soft, it also feels tight. Not quite right. Maybe I will try using it as a facial cleanser though and I might get better results that way. I figured it had all these awesome ingredients, why not use it on my skin.

HonnyBrown, I started out using 613 as facial cleanser, but it is so rich my combo skin objected. Love it as body cleanser with scrub brush!

Use BGT and clarisonic every night on combo facial skin - excellent.

{{{{Hello Drythe}}}} Brea118, I use the Wen oils on my face as a moisturizer. Heaven!! Love them! I also mix them in my body lotion and my skin has transformed so much for the better! I have a skin condition that causes rashes, dry patches, peeling, all around yuck and I haven't had a relapse since starting the the Wen oils on my skin. My legs had ugly red bumps/spots on them and I started using 1 pump of the lotion with a half dropper of oil, mix in my hands, per leg and within a few weeks all the spots were gone. I had those spots for years. It still amazes me everyday!

I use the CC's to cleanse with sometimes also.{I use the Wen body lotion and love it, I wondered the same thing when Chaz said he used the 613 CC as a "lotion"} I would rather stick with his body lotion, for my lotion,( I also add some oil to it sometimes)...Truly I also think it does help with the condition of my skin, not just the moisture..

I use the 613 as a facial cleanser. Removes make-up effortlessly and leaves my skin SUPER DUPER soft. I use it with my Clarisonic daily. I used to use Purity Made Simple by Philosophy but NO MORE!! Bamboo Green tea also is a superstar facial cleanser.

I use 613 as my face cleanser and moisturizer morning and night. Once a week I use oil at night as a moisture booster, lately its been the 613 oil and its fabulous. I used to buy the separate body cleanser and lotion, but now I just use whatever Seasonal mix I use for my 2nd cleanse as my body cleanser. I no longer need to moisturizer my body every day since Wen but when I do, I use the same CC as lotion. This stuff is amazing.

I experimented this morning. Chaz had said he used the 613 as a moisturizer in the shower, so it was my thought that he put it on wet skin like the oil. I used the fig cc as my body cleanser, then before I dried off, I put the 613 on - took only a pump. I then patted dry. It felt a little sticky for a few minutes, then soaked in completely. My skin still feels soft after being out in 20 mph wind.

I'm guessing he was referring to the Six Thirteen Ultra Nourishing Intensive Body Treatment unless he specifically stated the CC. As far as I know, all the CCs contain Methylchloroisothiazolinone, and Methylisothiazolinone which are preservatives for "rinse off" cosmetics. I would not want to leave these biocides on my skin for an extended period of time.

I think CC's work very well as body lotion, I've done it if I'm emptying a bottle and taking out the pump and not wanting to waste the extra. I don't do it every day though because it's too expensive and I'd rather save them for my hair. I've also used them on my face as a cleanser/mask after Chaz said he does it, and that works okay but it's pretty moisturizing on the face so I don't do it all the time.
