Nordstrom Price Matching?

Not sure if this has been going on for awhile or not, but I just noticed that Nordstrom is price matching on some beauty & maybe other items. I guess if it was offered elsewhere at a lower price, they're matching that price. Add that to free shipping!

I just got a tub of Philosophy Almond Glazed Body Souffle that's normally $22 for $19.80 & a bottle of Laura Mercier Almond Coconut fragrance that's normally $55 for $49.50.

I love Nordies!

They price matched a Ralph Lauren dress dress that was on sale at another store. Gave me the sale price with no fuss whatsoever.

i love it too. One time a lady messed up terribly on my ph order and offered to drive the item to my home,begged me to let her do it. I REFUSED-

WEVE BEEN GREAT FRIENDS FOR A FEW YEARS NOW. Q messed up removing YSL NARS ECT AS I NOW SHOP GOOD OLE NORDIES TOO

I miss having a full line Nordstrom store nearby to shop at like I had in WA, the nearest one to me is 2 hours away up in Chandler/Phoenix, but we do have a Rack here in Tucson now! Mostly what I buy online from Nordies is shoes or beauty items, since I prefer to try on clothing before i buy these days.

Yes, my son and I were looking for boots for him. Frye boots were $30 less than the regular price. I guessed correctly a store either online or nearby was selling for less. They have always been willing to match a price if you brought it to their attention. How willing depended on the store manager. I once had a SM expect me to call another busy dept store on a busy Saturday while knee deep in customers to verify a price. Gave her the price match as soon as he was out of earshot. Anyway, it seems they are being more proactive about it lately.

They sure did mess up but they would not have given free shipping at Q so Nordies is better and I love that store. I wish I could go in one.

I wouldn't mind the drive of 2 hours on any road EXCEPT I-10 between here & Phoenix! I absolutely detest driving on it!

In WA, I had at least 3 Nordstrom stores within about 30-40 minutes drive of me, including the flagship store in downtown Seattle. I guess I was spoiled. I keep hoping they'll eventually open a store in Tucson.

I do not have a Nordstrom in S.C. Have always ordered online from Nordies. Fast great service. Have you ever been chg. tax on your orders? In the past I have not been taxed and also free ship. Are all online dept stores now charging tax on online orders. Many thanks

Nordies has always done price matching. If Macy's or someone else is having Friends and Family,Nordies will match prices on identical item. Tax depends on the state where you live and what the item is.

What's especially nice about Nordstrom's price matching is rather than you you having to say Macy's has this for $10 cheaper, they already know that and have lowered the price. In most instances I'm not even aware it would've been cheaper somewhere else.

Do you have to buy at the other place & bring your receipt showing the lower price, or do they call the other retailer to check the price?

About 70% of my clothing I got at Nordstrom. Either in the store or on line. That's not counting the stuff from the Rack. The rest is Ann Taylor or WHBM. A couple of odds and ends from Express. I think I only have about a handful of clothes (mostly coats from Dennis Basso) from QVC. Nordstrom treats you with respect and there is always someone to help you. I've commented to Nordstrom on how well they treat customers. In fact when I go to the mall those are stores I go in to. I never shop at Macy's or JC Penny. Even Lord & Taylor. We have those stores in our mall.

They've always price matched, though they have started to advertise it more. I just adore them, best customer service in the industry.

You have two options: Call Nordstrom Customer Service on the phone and give them the information about the item you want price matched, and they can help you. You can also select "Live Chat" from the Nordstrom website (see link at bottom of home page) and they will help you with the price matching via a chat window. .......... I actually used the Live Chat feature today to get something price matched, and the lady was awesome! I got my Algenist cleanser price matched (30% discount) by simply giving her the details (i.e. discount amount, where I saw the sale, the promo code, and the validity period. I only had to wait a short while as she confirmed the discount. Before she placed the order, she made sure to give me a chance to select three free beauty samples!

Just in case I was not clear ... I wanted to clarify that you can make a phone call to customer service (or use the Live Chat feature) to request a price match for an item you have seen at another B&M store. ..... Good news, you won't need to buy it at the other retailer first and show your receipt to Nordstrom! They are awesome and have the process down pat, to make it as easy for you as possible. ....
