What to do with (barely) used makeup (It Vitality Matte Bronzer)

I know this has come up before, but I'm stuck. I have a barely used IT Matte bronzer that I don't want. I already have two palettes containing the same bronzer, and it contains dimethicone anyway, which if recently stopped using. Tried to give away to friends but no one uses bronzer. Tried too sell on ebay for $2 just to cover a few bucks for shipping cost, but not allowed to list a used cosmetic. I know that I can toss it but it sells for $34 on its own and I feel like someone could wipe the whole palette off with a paper towel and have a fresh start with it. I literally used it 2 times, maybe 3 and it just takes up space in my makeup drawer. Would I just toss it in with my next Goodwill bag and hope someone finds it and uses it?

Uh huh,if I had to shop at Goodwill, I would never buy used makeup...I have a feeling it would be tossed by the employees: they have pretty high standards. Just toss it. Poodlepet

But you are right, I should probably just toss it.

Like a used tooth brush....toss it. It is very unsanitary to share or use other peoples cosmetics.

Any coworkers, teenagers, neighbors? Women I worked with would bring in items sometimes that they could not use. It was rather fun to swap out things and it was nice to try things that we would not have been interested in buying otherwise. You can pretty well tell after you have worked with people the ones that you would not trust to use their products. Just a thought.

Thankfully, most state laws don't permit local shelters and community organizations (like Goodwill) to accept opened/used toiletries and cosmetics.

I assume there's no friend or daughter who is interested in taking the powder off your hands. It's not mentioned how long you had the product before realizing it's ingredients. If it's a reasonable less than two months, then try returning it. QVC is under no obligation to accept after 30 days for your reason, but it's worth asking (if they are the seller). You may be able to negotiate a store credit (from QVC, or wherever you made the purchase).

Unless you have a daughter, sister, or really good friend who wouldn't mind refreshening the surface, pitch it. The money was gone the day you bought it so no use crying over spilled milk or unused makeup at this. Life goes on. Just be a bit more discerning in the future.
