Make it stop !!!!!!

When Hosts ( lets say for ex. Meliissa shop HQ ) won't let vendors speak. ( Lets say Dimitri From Skinn ) Holy Cr*P. Shut UP !!! is all I have to say !!!!!!

You must interrupt all the time and have NOTHING of value to say. Stop your Gushing as well.

So why doesnt the producer in her ear tell her to STOP !!!!!

Do you think there is a constructive way to stop our QVC hosts from doing the same thing. I was appalled this evening when the female host was downright snotty and rude to treasured guests. I am not talking about the Shawn and Isaac giggling fits, I adore the both of them and their lighthearted banter lifts my spirits, a caller even joined them, instigating another laughing fit based on a hilarious comment Isaac made on a previous show that had also devolved into hysterics. There has to be something we can do without hurting the innocent or discouraging close interpersonal relationships. One problem I anticipate is that this thread will be proofed too

I've never seen rudeness. Just a lot of gab. Who cares who it is that's gabbing???? It's mostly blah, blah, blah, no matter who is saying it. Flip off the channel if it bothers you. There is no way I could watch that nonsense non-stop for any period of time. Very boring.

I agree. I don't watch any of the home shopping channel shows very often. I only will watch if I am interested in buying and want more information about the product.

I don't understand why people watch home shopping channels and expect no talking. Are they looking for just visuals?

same here and it is only for beauty products. I certainly don't watch it expecting to be entertained per se- it is to make a purchase and learn more about a product I may be interested in and for the tips and tricks to use the products.

It IS a shopping channel so of course they are going to talk talk talk, gush gush gush, sell sell sell. It certainly wouldn't be a very savvy business decision if a shopping channel used mimes to present the products.

I honestly can't imagine a host being able to over-talk Dimitri. I've never heard any talk as fast and non-stop as him.

You are right about Dimitri. I can't imagine anyone else trying to compete with him. He is so enthusiastic about his products and I enjoy watching him. Especially if I am interested in buying some of his products.

It's just that if you are really interested in a product and the vendor is showing his/her wares, then you can't turn off the TV because that's usually when they run specials on that particular product, eg. oto's and tsvs. I understand how the other poster feels. My favorite product is on, right? The poor vendor is doing a demo and you can't hear what he just said because the host is raucous. It's maddening. I don't have anything personal against them, really but after the show, right? What happens? So many people are asking how do you use this? After all, the vendor was just on demonstrating. I just wish they would tone it down a bit, really.

Mary Beth does a great job of listening to her guests, NOT talking over them, while providing the necessary item information. Her style is welcoming and more of a natural conversation between two people. She makes it seem effortless, which it is not. Other hosts could learn from her that listening and conversation is an art and she is the master of it.
