What is your favorite nude lipstick?

I just put on Lipstick Queen's Chinatown glossy pencil in Catalina--a pink nude, similar on me to IT cosmetic's Rose Flush, but doesn't get soft and easy to apply. Her Cameo is more of a true nude but I like a bit more color. I love these and I'm so glad they came out in softer shades last year. I also really like Josie Maran's slimline lipstick/gloss duo in Dyani--hard to find but I think it's on Hautelook now for $10.

I never considered nudes very often because I always thought of them as brown/beige and they looked horrible on me. I am loving some softer MLLB shades with some pink. IT cosmetic's lip butter in Pillow is also great. Sorry if you were looking for a one word answer .

I have 2 favorites, both are on the more pink side. Beige shades are terrible on me

A true nude doesn't generally look great on me. However, a slight berry nude does and I think that Bare Minerals has a few that are really nice. Sorry I can't come up with a specific color name at the moment, but I do like their glosses and lipsticks in this color category.

Which ones did you end up with? I went to a BB counter yesterday and ended up with Baby Pink which is a new shade in her original formula and Soft Nude in her Creamy Matte Lip color.

Ann-Marie, I think there's a lot of hit and miss with finding the perfect nude shade for you. I like Bobbi Brown because she has a lot to choose from. I've always heard to go with a shade that is similar to the inside of your lower lip and go from there.

Your coloring sounds similar to mine. I'm 51, light to med. complexion with blue eyes and ash-blonde highlighted hair. I have some pink in my skin, but yellow tones also. I found out that I don't look good in the beiges or dusty pinks. Both wash me out terribly. Mine are more peachy than pink.

My HG + MLBB is NARS in Catfight. More of a mauve/berry tone- Darker than my natural lip color & compliments my skin tone.

I really like the entire collection of Maybelline "The Buffs". They are part of their Color Sensational lipstick collection which I think has good staying power and is never drying.

Back to "The Buffs". I like Nude Lust and Blushing Beige. Neither of them are yellow or brownish in any way. Blushing Beige lends itself to being a bit pinker than the other. The collection has about 10 to 12 nude shades, so you can achieve just about any nude look you desire.

Rich Cashmere and Pale Lip by Lancome are my favorites. Also like ""The Buffs"" by Maybelline (Blushing Beige).

Yes, I like Avon too. I think it stays on really well. I don't really need to buy lipstick anymore because the place where my hubby used to work did some marketing for a major make-up company, promoting their new naturals line. When that promo was over they were going to throw away all of the leftover, new, perfectly good make-up. I mean thousands of items. (What a waste!) So the employees brought home bags of it. I have a very good supply of lipsticks, and mascara. (It was a great surprise, nice stuff too! I know it's not really on topic, but I just wanted to share the story)

Pale Petal..Elizabeth Arden. Its a nude with a hint a pink...but really very neutral. Lots of color too. I use a rose liner.

Nars Chelsea Girls Lip Lacquer.

It comes in a little pot -- It's the BEST nude I've ever used! I have been buying it for about 5 years or more. I think it has more of a peachy/beige look to it though.
