Algenist TSV anyone?

Is anyone planning on getting the Algenist TSV? I think it is the Genius Face and Eye cream for $110. I've never tried the line, just got the email, so I'm curious what you ladies think of it.

I've tried the face cream. It was very moisturizing. I only had a sample so I didn't use it long enough to see any results. But if I ever run out of my never ending stash of moisturizers, the Algenist Genius cream would make it on my top 3 list of potential replacements.

I now only use the neck cream and it seems OK. I tried the Genius eye cream and I did not like it. My eyelids somehow seemed drier. The Eye Balm was better, but then that is my skin.

I just got a sample of this at Sephora yesterday... I have to say, after just one day, I see (or atleast I think I see) signifiant results! the lines around my face/eyes are much softer. I have been struggling with this for about a year now. and I think i found the product for me.

I'm pretty happy with the Kate Sommerville TSV I ordered a few months ago. I guess happy enough not to make a change. Let us know how you like it.

I have tried many products from this line and they just didn't do anything for me. I am sticking with StriVectin as I see remarkable results.

No, not a fan. The only product I liked was the serum. The eye cream stung my eyes.

I'm surprised this is in jar packaging. The benefits won't remain stable once the jar is opened. This is too expensive for it to just be a waste of money because of the packaging.

I've been using the ASDM firming cream and lifting serum. I'm 60 and don't have high expectations. I am shocked at after 6 weeks my neck as well as the rest of my face have truly firmed up. I also use the microdermabrasion product once a week and my skin is soft and glowing. Considering the prices of ASDM and free shipping I have no reason to spend over $100 for the TSV.

NickNack, where did you get the info that something in a jar is bad? I use a small spatula to get my creams out and wash it after each use so I don't contaminate the product.

I tried the serum when it was first introduced. They claim results in just 10 days. Well, absolutely no results after 20 days. I doubt that any product can reduce wrinkles in that short period of time. Back it went.

I am getting it. I tried the face cream about 4 months ago and haven't stopped using it yet. I have pushed all the others to the side...that is a big deal for me, a major beauty junkie.

It absorbs beautifully. Not sticky/tacky feeling. I wake up in the morning and my face feels so soft and smooth...like a baby's 'you know what'. Lines are noticeable softened on me.

I haven't tried the eye cream but compared to what I am paying for the face cream alone...this is a great deal. If I don't love the eye cream, I will return. However, I am sticking with the face cream for sure.

No I pass-I finally am happy with the Skinn brand and my clairsonic, which I totally believe is the reason this brand works so well.

Although its a good buy (since you are essentially getting the eye cream for free) I think I'll pass. I still have a jar of the face cream from last winter that will last me all THIS winter. I may try the eye cream down the line........

I've heard it many times on this board. Here is an excerpt of what Paula's Choice says about jar packaging: Why Jar Packaging is a Problem:

The fact that it's packaged in a jar means the beneficial ingredients won't remain stable once it is opened. All plant extracts, vitamins, antioxidants, and other state-of-the-art ingredients break down in the presence of air, so once a jar is opened and lets the air in, these important ingredients begin to deteriorate.

I'm not. I saw a little bit of the show. I think the prices for these products are outrageous. Many lines talk about clinical trials. I don't fall for it anymore. I got tired of returning products. I think you can do just as well with drug store products. In fact, several magazines have said the same thing. Save your money.
