I purchased a vacuum from Costco and I'm wondering if I need to keep the packaging if I decide to return it?

If you think you might return it, why wouldn't you save the packaging? Seems courteous to me.

I know the Costco in my area, does ask for everything back (box included.)

I bought a vacuum from Costco in May and will keep the box for a while. I would only return it if it breaks or something goes wrong with it.

Blu, if you need to make a return, they use the box to scan it. I found that out last week.

I guess I should've explained it better. I don't have very good luck with vacuums. They usually break. I'm not anticipating that this one will but just in case I need to take a broken one back to Costco do I need to keep the packaging?

I usually keep the box with the sales slip taped on if the item is electronic. I have never had a problem with Costco ever taking something back however.
