I got the tingle too when I first started using Wen. It went away after awhile. As long as you don't have any other symptoms of allergic reaction like itching, burning, redness I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't like the tingle you can switch to the Wen Kids as they are menthol free.

the tingling stopped then started up again or did I misunderstand that? Does your scalp look red or irritated or itchy too? Are you allergic to soy at all?

Menthol makes my head feel like it's in a bowl of ice and I get tingling too. I think the other posters are right. You get used to it. Wen kids has no menthol and there are a few others in the line that don't too, I think. You can go on Chaz's site and find answers there. They even do live chat.

Even when I used Denorex shampoo a few times, I never felt the menthol after the shower. You might consider returning it and trying the WEN kids formula, which has no menthol.

Some people are more sensitive to it then others and personally I never got use to it and felt tingling every time I used it, although never all day or even past when I used it in the shower.

I don't have an allergies, the part that tingles feels a little rough too maybe I didn't wash it as good as I thought.

If only a spot kept tingling and it felt rough, you may have a skin issue there - maybe a place you scratched or a patch of dry skin. If you put more on, rinsed again and the tingling went away, I would say try it again, making sure to massage and use a wide tooth comb as your rinse.

There are some that are sensitive to the menthol, but a lot find it helps to clean and stimulate the scalp. That's something you will have to decide for yourself. It's supposed to tingle while it's on, then go away once dry. If it is more of an it ch or burn, definitely stop.
