Hello Beauties! I have worn acyrlic nails for about 20 years. I kept them short and squared off. About 4 years ago, I wanted them off and so I sat for 40 minutes "soaking" them off at the salon in strong formaldehyde. Then, my nail tech cleaned up my nails and I went home. My nails were ugly and I remember that they were extremely painful. I lasted about a month before putting acyrlics back on. Well, now I am really wanting them off again, to try again to see if I can deal with my own nails. I have about three weeks of outgrowth showing now. I don't want to "soak" them off as I don't want my hands in chemicals. Can I just keep letting the outgrowth grow and expect the acrylic to finally pop off? Any tips for getting them off other than a soak? I have the pink nail gel on hand as well as some duri rejuvecoat, which I plan on using. Any other suggestions? I know my nails are going to look ugly, but will they get better within the year? I am so nervous about this endeavor.

nnie
