I tried the FTP again and used 613 sc and vts mixed and added to soaking wet hair and it was almost as good as SHP. With SHP i could get away with just a small pump of the cc as a leave in but with the FTP I needed the extra boost from the 613 sc to get the same shine. But using it with the 613 sc and a few squirts if the vts i got great results.

Tuscan Pear Review

Oh I so wanted to love you FTP. Your smell is so subtle just like a fresh pair and not cloying. For anyone that suffers from migraines, the scent is so light. It's really like biting into a fresh pair. As for the cleansing components, it's not as thick as the SHP. It's really light and not very frothy. I did the two cleanses. Unfortunately, this is not a love match for my hair. My hair feels a bit dry and actually frizzed today which rarely happens. I think I need more moisture. I could consider mixing it with some POM which my hair loves but not sure if it is worth it. I think if there was just a bit more moisture in this it would be awesome. I discovered today I can't stand the smell of 613 either. I so wanted to love it but there will be other seasonals.

Did you go to the Chaz Dean site and try the recommender? This will be a good indication of what you should be using on your hair.

Ladygo, with some formulas, I have to try them a few times in different ways to get stellar results. For instance, I'll use it for both cleanses and as my leave-in, first or second cleanse or mixed with another formula.

I hope you try it again; I really want it to work for you!

Yes, I've been to Chaz's site and POM and SHP are the ones that are recommended for me. LAV as well but I'm allergic to lavender so that's not going to work. I'm ok with it not working for me. I want things to be simple. If I have to mix a formula with another one to get it work then it's too much effort for me. I'm getting good results with POM and I think once I add the styling products to SAM, it will make it work better for me as well. Thanks everyone. Maybe I'm misunderstand how I should be using WEN. But my hair care routine has always been low key. I have great hair and my stylist knows how to cut it. I usually only put a bit of hair spray on it and I am styled. That was all before WEN.

It is greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I agree with you- I too feel I don't want to mix and match things in order to get a formula to work for me, especially if I know there is one or two (SMC and SHP) that work well without having to mix it. These days, if a formula doesn't work for me, it goes back, mixed with SHP until I use it up, or regulated to shaving cream. I just don't think the cost justifies trying to make a formula work, even if I love the scent (BGT is a good example of this for me).

Thanks for your review, Lady. I agree that the scent is light. I also didn't detect the fake rubber/plastic smell as I did with FAS, SOB and SHP. It is amazing how performance can vary depending on the texture of your hair. SMC frizzed my hair. Since I didn't care for the scent anyway, it didn't bother me to not repurchase. I gifted the rest of it.

I used the Pear yesterday and today. Yesterday I did a double cleanse with Pear only. Results were decent. Today I did a first cleanse with SAM and second with Pear. I just switched back to SAM after using POM as a main cleanser for the past two years. I must say that I like the results. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and it's humid here today. My hair is holding up rather well (air-dried). I am not crazy for the scent of the Pear, so I probably won't repurchase it beyond perhaps the styling products. I will stock up on FGP again.
