anyone else noticed that Chaz Dean always shows his models without styled hair with shampoo and then with pro styled hair afterwards? I think he should show them both styled or both unstyled to show FAIR results of his product. to me this is like false advertising .

all of the lines do that it seems, they show people with unstyled hair and no make up then all styled and made up. Same with the foundations, people have no make up then a face full of make up with blush, eye shadow etc and the vendors are saying they only have on the foundation.

I was watching this weekend because I was toying with ordering some Wen. Anyway, Sorry to be negative, but some of the claims that Chaz was making were pretty out there. Like 613 getting rid of brown spots. And he kept saying "Its not a claim, its not a claim." then he would make another claim.

Was anyone else skeptical about the claims of "no highlights" I felt like I could see them right there. We don't get color stripes in nature. (unless gray counts)

I certainly don't remember any of the models hair looking like the b4 picture. False advertising is correct - of course they have to sell and he has to pay for the new home next to the Q headquarters now.

Did you not notice that the Before pictures also have a date, like 2009,2011 etc? Those Before pictures are showing the models hair prior to using WEN. The date also signifies the last time they used traditional shampoo/ conditioners I believe. Next time he is on, please take note of what it says below their pictures. There are drastic differences in hair colors, condition of the hair, and length. Of course the After looks better, it is often 2+ years after the Before pictures and then pro styled. The B/A pictures were Not taken the same day.

I'm actually a hardcore Wenner myself, and my hair is a walking billboard as far as advertising how well Wen works, but I couldn't agree more with this post!

When I see the before photos of the models, I instinctively know the producers of the Wen infomercials and the photographers manually roughed up the hair quite a bit more than using shampoo is capable of doing on its own.

Unless their hair had the texture of a Brillo pad prior to shampooing or was never nursed back to health after being damaged to an extreme degree, it's impossible to cause that much distress to the follicle.

If their hair was that damaged, however, I think Wen is perfectly capable of fixing that over the course of a few months, since that's the state my hair was in when I first used it and my hair is in perfect shape now.

Granted, a bad shampoo can make your hair terrible (as can Wen if you don't use it properly) but it is not capable of making hair look the same way as when you over-process it to no return.

I would've killed to see a model with over-processed, fried hair when I first started using Wen and watched the presentations - Chaz would access a MUCH bigger audience if there was at least one model who had hair that was a work in progress!

Well, I have to be the odd man out here. I have many colors in my hair and have had all my life. I have used high-end shampoo and conditioners since I was 18. I am blessed with good hair, thick and coarse.

Even now when I use regular shampoo and conditioner, after blow drying, I must use a flat iron or curlers.

With Wen, I can blow-dry, my hair is smooth and I don't have to do anything.

I can't explain it but it works for me.

And as I said on another thread, I think that a good haircut is the most impiortant part.

This is no knock on WEN because the cleansing conditioners have been great for my hair, but the presentations are intentionally a bit of deceptive. As for the dates of the "before" pictures I think it would be a more honest to use a regular on the models the day of the show for the before pictures. Because they would use something as strong as dishwashing soap for the before cleanser, and the after is always styled hair, the difference in what the models hair looks like using WEN would still be positive for WEN.
