topic Question re: Mally waterproof eyeliners. in Beauty

Usually I have no problem with them staying on however I have had a tearing problem in my left eye and am having surgery soon. I am assuming that there is something in the tears that is making the liners not stay on and the liner disappear. So they are waterproof but not tearproof? Any else have this problem?
