FIG is great for dry hair! A lot of us use it.

I think the key to all CC - WEN in general- is to rinse, rinse, rinse! Your water bill may go up a little but it's worth it. Also, I have an adjustable shower head. So I dial it down to water saving mode while I rub and twist and need a little extra water to make it froth. Then I turn it back up to get a good rinse.

I have extremely thick, coarse, dry hair. Fig is so wonderful for my hair. A lot of people seem to be put off by the scent but not me even though I'm really sensitive to scents. I find myself running my fingers through my hair because it is so soft. I use very little in the way of product. A bit of the cc as a leave in with then a bit of styling cream mixed with a tiny bit of the SOB treatment oil. I have a lot of natural body so don't require much as my hair is short. Love the fig. I've recently added TT after reading what ladies have written here. Use it sometimes as a first or second cleanse but the fig us my primary go to. Don't want to be without that ever. Good luck

I've always been under the impression that Fig is actually one of the more popular CCs. I have fine very wavy/curly hair and LOVE it for the moisture. Not too heavy and it just makes my hair look luscious, bouncy and shiny. I'm not sure what in this thread dissuaded you, but I would give it a try. The only negative thing I've consistently heard about fig is that most don't love the scent. It does grow on you, but for most it's not love at first sniff. People are always on the forums begging Chaz to develop another formula as moisturizing as fig, but in a different scent. Good luck!

I might be out of the ordinary, but Fig didn't work as well for me as some of the other formulas. It should be right because I have very thick, coarse, loosely curly hair, but it was a bit too heavy. I use TT for my first cleanse and a seasonal for my second.

It's all a matter of trial and error, I think. If there is still a set of the small sizes in every formula, that's a good place to start so you can experiment.

Fig and Pom were my first CC purchases and I still love them. I have found that it is best to mix scents with each cleanse.

Do I need more CC now, no. But I want to take advantage of the other goodies, so I am getting 2 TSVs. I can switch formulas. I have found that I save money by buying the TSVs because I use Chaz's other styling products.

If I had to choose one CC, Fig would be it! I personally love the scent.

I have thick curly hair and I lot of it. I love Fig. The only other ones I have tried are TT (too smelly but I used it again last night as my first cleanse only and I like it better like that) and 613 which I really don't care for. I use it only when I color my hair instead of the packets that come with. I thought about branching out with the TSV today but I stuck with what I know.

I think that's because while it smells great, that it doesn't actually work on hair as well as some of the other Core formulas. In contrast, while TT is quite popular with those "in the know" (QVC hosts, QVC models and Wenners on this forum), clearly it doesn't sell as well in the overall market. I think that's because the TT scent is something you have to get used to… but, once you do, it's a home run for your hair!!!

I have thin/fine, porous hair. For my first cleanse TT (and more often now 613) are my go-to CCs for my first cleanse. I rotate in BGT and occassionally CA (to clarify my hair). These days I've started using 613 more often for my second cleanse, rotating in BGT and all of the Seasonals. -- My leave-in is an all-613 affair (CC, SC and mousse). My hair could drink the 613 amino acid complex for breakfast, lunch, supper… and a midnight snack.

-- bebe Wen FAQ - key Wen links - Wen 101 - tips from Chaz Dean Studio

Unlike you bebe, I have fine, colored (often dry) hair and I find 613 is too much protein for me if I use it to cleanse -- it can dry out my hair. However, I always use it as a leave in. Although occasionally I mix a little in with other cleansers. For me, I need the moisture that FIG provides but I always mix, so it doesn't weigh my hair down. BGT I'm still not sure about but so far it doesn't seem to be a must have for me formula wise -- may need to keep playing with it and find the right combo. I haven't used TT since my first discovery set because I just couldn't stand the scent, but I might need to give that another try (mixed with others to tone the scent down).
