I'm really tempted. I don't have any hot rollers and I'm thinking these might be kinder to my hair than a curling iron.

What do you think about the set?

This TSV is not for me. My hair is so thick, long, and coarse that I would probably have to buy 5 sets. Have they said whether or not this TSV will supposedly work on long hair? In my experience, hot rollers are rarely ever compatible with truly long hair (right above tail bone).

LOL, yes I can see where they would not work for either of you. The perm for obvious reasons and yes CM, not really great for hair that long, but I'll bet your hair is beautiful.

My hair is about the length of Jacque's. She said she used the medium, and that's what I have in my cart.

Thick hair is why I purchased the extra long calista ones. I can use 10 or so of the 12 on my just barely shoulder length hair that has been heavily thinned. Otherwise, normal size rollers would take around 30 or so. The Chi ones are for people with medium thickness of hair and medium length.

Thanks tigriss. I can see how the longer Calista rollers would work better for you.

The way the Chi set works is similar to the Calista Tools rollers. I haven't curled my hair in ages, but was inspired to this morning since my DH and I are going out furniture shopping later. My hair is fine, but long, with long layers. I have both of the Calista Tools sets - medium for the top of my head and the longs for the length. I feel like I look pretty good this morning so I'm not tempted by the Chi set. FYI - I use the Calista Tools Complete to spray each section before the roller goes in and I get a nice, lasting curl that way.

I was tempted until I noticed how Jacque's hair started out great at the beginning of her show, but half way through her hair was losing the volume and curl. She even mentioned that "nothing was holding" together because it was such a warm night! She kept running her hands through her hair to try to being back some of the lift. I don't want the expense of having to send them back when they don't do what is promised, so I'll pass.

Boom.

That's what I use, too. I was trying to decide if the CHI rollers would be better....but, I am pleased with the ones I'm using so....I have decided against ordering them. I look forward to hearing the reviews about the CHI set.

I have the Caruso steam rollers and really love them. But I have to make sure my hair is totally dry after I remove the rollers and before I start styling it. Heat and humidity still bring it down but it looks good while it lasts. I have not found anything that works better for my fine, stick-straight hair but I'm always open to suggestions/ideas!!!

Please report back and let us know how these work out for all of you

I will do a review of the rollers.

If I had some that I was happy with, I would stick with them, but I don't have any (haven't had a set since the big hair 80's)

Like wishmoon said, I like the idea of the blue light for bacteria.

I ordered the TSV hoping to save a bit of time w/ the rollers. Have long, layered fine hair...lots of hair...but very fine and very straight. I am hoping these will give me the same lift and curl that I get from curling iron/Velcro roller set. It takes forever and a day to do my hair....just hoping to save some time.
