I received my Tria laser about a week ago and I've used it 4 times so far. I was very surprised at how much it hurt even though they warned it would "sting", but for me it's like a thousand bee stings. Does the stinging ever stop? Does it at least lessen?

Also, I've noticed that since my first use, my face feels sunburned and "rough" (for lack of a better word). Is this normal? And, does this feeling eventually fade with continued use??

I know it's only been less than a week, but I feel like I'm torturing my skin instead of helping it. So, any feedback anyone can give me regarding my initial use would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased the Lightstim anti-aging device, although it uses LED light, not laser. It just feels like a gentle warmth on my skin.

I also purchased the laser hair removal device, the one that they say works on all hair colors, but when I received it I read in the instructions it was not to be used by a skin cancer-chick. So, it went back.

It is not the most comfortable feeling I agree. I was surprised at how painful it felt but it does get better as time goes on. Because it was painful I chose to do the 12 week series with 5 days on and 2 off rather than 8 weeks straight with no days off. My face would be very red for about an hour after each treatment but I could live with that because the results are unbelievable. I am now doing my second series of treatments after taking 4 weeks off. This time I am doing the 8 weeks straight with no time off.

If you can stick with it, it is well worth it. I used to get these same treatments from professionals and the cost of one treatment was more than we paid for the Trial.

Remember no pain no gain and you get so much gain from this machine. I love it and the results are incredible.

F1wild ~ I also have the Lightstim but didn't feel I was really getting the results I was after though I do enjoy the feeling of the warmth.

GLAMMA ~ Thank you so much for your info. I feel a bit better knowning that what I'm feeling is normal. Did your skin feel tight and rough as well? I suppose that's what I'm more concerned about. But, it definitely hurts more than I was expecting. I think I will stick with the 5 days on and 2 off for this series. Thanks again!!

I'm near the end of my second round after waiting 4 weeks since the first round. Yes, the sunburned feeling and roughness was a normal reaction for many of the original users from the first TSV. Did you spend any time on level 2? If you are doing level 3 maybe you should cut back to level 2 for a week or so. Are you using the 8 week protocol or the 12 week? I found that using Peter Thomas Roth's Peeling Gel helped remove some of the sand papery feeling and it will over time stop on it's own. The prickly feeling on your face will get better over time, but will not completely stop. At least it's very tolerable now while I'm doing the session (level 3), but my skin still stings for about an hour after treatment. Be careful of the skin care you are using after the treatments so as not to irritate already sensitive skin.

Consider backing off to level 2 for a while, or do the 12 week session with the weekends off if you find you can't stand the burning feeling. A lot of us contributed to threads during our first session. Search Tria - Day 1, Day 2 etc. and then we went to Tria - Week 2, 3, 4, etc. You will find a daily diary of our experiences. I think it was very helpful to all of us to hear each others thoughts and tips and personal experiences.

I'm using Level 2 and afterwards, I use TATCHA Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum. I also do have the PTR peeling gel, so I will give that a go as well. I tried doing a search on this topic before posting but it came back as "no results". I've decided to go with the 5 days on, two days off for this first session. After my wait period, I may try the full 12 week session.

Thanks again for the great info. you posted for me.

Shellbell if you can handle level 3 try to stay with it. Results on level three are best. I would recommend the 12 weeks with five on and two off. Using that schedule I didn't experience the side effects as strongly as others did when they did the full 8 weeks with no break. just giving your face that two day break every five days seems to calm things down.

I think what you are feeling means it's working.

Unfortunately, I sent it back because I did not see any results using it for the 8 weeks straight.
