Just Placed My First ASDM Order

Hello ladies, I have been following your discussion about ASDM skin care and took the plunge. Well, it is more like I dipped my toes in the water. I ordered the Peptide Serum and the Pro Microdermabrasion Cream. I am looking forward to receiving these products. I am in my mid-fifties with very dry and sensitive skin. I hope I made good choices. Please chime in with any suggestions for products particularly a moisturizer for my parched facial skin. Many thanks ladies for your help. It has been a long time since I have been excited about skin care.

Congrats on your first order! I would love to know how you like the Peptide serum, that is on my list of products to try. Everyone that has tried the microdermabrasion cream seems to love it.

For a moisturizer, take a look at the Hyaluronic Acid Porcelain Doll Cream and the Anti-aging Anti-wrinkle Cream (called Maximum Hydration Cream on the jar label).

I believe that Katluvr58 has tried the Porcelain Doll Cream and I know someone has tried the Anti-aging Anti-wrinkle Cream. The Anti-Aging Cream has peptides in it and I bet it would be a good cream to use over the peptide serum at night.

I've tried a sample of the peptide serum. Katluvr was kind enough to send me some to try. It is really nice. I want to get it to use at night. I'm using their vitamin c serum during the day and love it.

The Maximum Hydration cream is great. I also really like the collagen cream and am thinking of ordering it to use on my neck.

Please let us know what you think after you get your order. I think you will be please:-)

Thank-you for the product suggestions. I think I need the Maximum Hydration cream for my skin. I saw my order has shipped already! That is great! I am excited about skin care again.

I really wanted to try some of the products after reading all the raves on here. I sent an email asking for recs and didn't hear a word back. I was disappointed because many have commented about the great cs.

I'm sorry you haven't heard back. Rebecca usually answers emails. They may be overwhelmed with emails due to the sale this weekend. They are a small company. Hopefully, you will here something soon.

Hi Nadine, either they are swamped or short handed because they are great about responding. I am waiting for a reply also and that is definitely not like them. Hang in there, they are worth it.

Hi luv pets, the peptide serum is great and the max hydration is very hydrating. Also the microderm cream is fantastic. I have finicky skin, dry in some place and oily in others with a tendency to freak out when I use too much product at once. I don't know your skin issues or your age bracket but the firming serum and collagen cream are also nice. I like the firming serum under my eyes and above my lips. My neck seems to be extremely dry and I use the Age Defying Massage Lotion on my body and hands but I also tap it on my neck when I put it on my hands for added moisture because it has oils in it. I have also used it on my face when I get dry spots. The only product I found to be a waste of money is the Tepez Cream.

Try giving them a call. Sometimes in our great tech age things just don't arrive. CS are really great and very helpful.

To luvpets: I have sensitive dry skin and I'm loving the firming cream over the top of the peptide serum. Enjoy!

I am 54 years old with very dry and sensitive skin. My skin easily dries out or turns red when I try different products. I do love serums though! I am constantly on the hunt for one that makes any visible difference. Sadly, my budget is limited and I can't try as many new things as I would like. My items have already shipped. I will let you know how my skin reacts. I am hoping to have a positive experience, as many of you have had. If so, I know I will order more products! Thank-you again for your suggestions. Luv pets, the next ASDM holiday sale is Labor Day, so maybe by then you'll know how your skin reacts to their products.

I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I like their hydroquinone 4 serum, their sunscreen and their mineral makeup powder. I ordered their Vit. C serum with ferulic the other day, it has shipped but I haven't received it yet. The peptide serum is next on my radar to try, lol, but that will have to wait until the Labor Day sale.

Luv Pets, when you get the products don't do what I did which was put a ton in my hands and slather it all over. My skin freaked out. It took me some time to figure I was causing it, lol.

Sweet Susie, I am hoping to try the Vitamin C product as well. I have been using Mad Hippie and don't think it has done a thing for me. It did however, not irritate my skin. I have been using it three months. It is time to move on. Katluvr58, you are so knowledgable about the products. I learn so much from reading your posts. Right now my skin is breaking out all over from an Elizabeth Grant product I tried . I got a good deal on her Caviar Cream. It seems good, but my skin does not like it. I have not had a breakout or congested skin since my teen years. I am hoping the ASDM microdermabrasion cream will help. I am also using Alpha Hydrox Soufflé twice a week at bedtime to clear up this mess. Oh well, live and learn! Thank-you both for your helpful comments.

Luvpets, thank you for your kind words. If your breakouts are product induced I had a lot of good luck with antifungal powder dabbed on the red spots. Most DS's sell Zeasorb powder which is also good for rashes and chafing. I found that treating them like a zit does not work well at all. Also, I have found that Eucerin Calming Relief Cream works very well for product over load. It's like you need to get back to the basics before you can move on. Many times I've had to use my Purity cleanser and the Eucerin to calm everything down.
Retin-a and I have a love hate relationship, I love to use it and it hates me, lol. From the boards and from trial and error I have also learned to keep oils on hand. I have argon, tea tree, rose hip and emu oils. Emu is good for irritation and the others I have cocktailed by putting several drops of argon and rose hip in a spray bottle with water, then I add one drop of tea tree. Shake it and mist it on your face and neck or spray it on your hands and tap it on your skin. I spritz my hair with it also. Hope this info helps you.

Katluvr58, I will head to the drug store tomorrow! Your suggestions are much appreciated. I really have never had this problem before, as I have very dry skin. Maybe I had an allergic reaction? I don't know for certain. My face has pimples all over and clogged pores too. It has never happened before, but my skin is sensitive. Usually it gets red if I overdo the products. I really wanted to like EG because it was a nice kit at a good price. I am moving on to other lines. Right now just taking it slowly until my face calms down. Thank-you for your suggestions.

You are very welcome. I was fighting those spots for almost a week when I gave up and tried that powder. That was just a few days ago. Now I am fighting an ingrown hair on my neck that I put a q tip dot of retin-a on and I woke up yesterday with a half dollar size peeling circle with a scab in the middle. Then this morning it was dried and looked even worse. I've spent the day throwing emu oil on it. My skin is mostly dry and somewhat sensitive. It sounds a lot like yours.
