Wen at Nordstrom Rack!

There were about 15 bottles of the 16oz Wen for $25. I saw FIG, TT, LAV and CA. Decent deal considering you save on shipping too. They were mostly sealed (some craked open probably from people trying to sniff) and the chazdean.com version, not guthy. Wonder how they got there? Also saw 3 of the 6oz styling creme.

I would imagine that they would only offer it online if they had large quantities to sell. They must have bought a small quantity to sell in the stores and made a deal with someone to obtain this quantity.

Nordstrom's Rack is a close-out store like TJ Maxx. They may have obtained this supply from another retailer that was overstocked. Lines have no control over what stores first line retailers may use to dump stock. Do the first quality Nordstroms carry Wen? If so, there's your answer.

My Nordstrom Rack stores always carry beauty products that Nordstrom doesn't sell. For a while, it was the only place I could find a good selection of Savina nail polish, which is really cheap. I'll have to stop in and see if they have any WEN. Thanks!

The only official suppliers of Wen are QVC, Guthy Renker, and Chaz's salon/website. If you find Wen product somewhere else, guaranteed it's a second-hand seller. You should be very careful about buying from second-hand sellers as you don't know whether the product has been tampered with or are fake. Buyer beware!

Fluffybear, do they always have it? I have purchased some at the store in the Loop and need more. I am thinking of calling ahead before running down there to get some. It is not that much of a price reduction but saving on the shipping is a big help.

I agree. I would not buy a product unless the seller was authorized. I'm not willing to risk my health.

Now this is just my opinion. I would not buy Wen from anywhere but Chaz's site or QVC. Guthy Renker is safe but customer service is awful and you can't get the items on Guthy Renker like you can on QVC. I always go by that old adage....better to be safe than sorry. I don't want to hear of anyone getting hurt, seriously. Please be careful.

How would anyone get hurt buying from Nordstrom's?

I can't imagine that CHAZ would allow his products to be sold anywhere if they weren't top quality. His name is his bond.

That's exactly right - Chaz wouldn't...which is why I'll only ever buy from authorized retailers, which Nordstrom Rack is not.

@terrier3 - the issue is that Wen products have been tampered with before (like when someone on Ebay was selling some fake Winter Vanilla Mint cleansing conditioner a year or 2 ago and had put toothpaste in it for the mint part) and resold as if they were new. the problem with the Wen packaging is that it's not very well safety sealed and can be easily opened, tampered with, re-closed and resold as if it hadn't been opened. since Nordstrom isn't an official seller of Wen you have to wonder where they've gotten the Wen products from.

In regards to Chaz not allowing his products to be sold anywhere if they were not top quality: that goes out the window once somebody has the product in his/her possession as Chaz has zero control of what that person does with his product. It's like you buying a gift for someone, giving it to them and then they turn around and decide to sell it on Ebay for a profit. You have no control of what that person does as the item is not in your possession anymore.

Really? I know they sell the same formulas but I thought Sephora got it from Chaz directly. That's a big surprise that Sephora would buy from GR.

But Nordstrom's is a name known for their excellent customer service and quality of products.

BTW - why doesn't Chaz make the product tamperproof? Again, he uses only the purest and finest products - why doesn't he make sure the integrity of his items is maintained no matter were it is purchased.

I agree that I would never buy product missing the safety seal - but if he doesn't have an adequate seal, how do we know that QVC isn't re-selling returns too?
