Today I put a dime size of Pom cc in my hand and put 5 drops of SHP oil on top of the Pom cc. I mixed it together in the palm of my hand. I did rake what was left on my hands through the crown. Last, I applied a dime size of SHP styling creme. My hair is not weighed down at all and it feels super soft.
I have said this before, but I want to say it again. If you want softness, hydration, and shine with tons of bounce and body, use a few drops of oil mixed with your leave-in. I added 5 drops on a whim today to my leave in cc. I usually only add 2-3 drops. My hair feels soft and I have tons of bounce. It did not weigh my hair down at all. In fact, I think it actually gave me more bounce and body. I heard Gina Gannon mention this on one of the shows as well. It is true. Give it a try ladies!!!

I'm glad it worked for you Hillary, but I think a lot depends on your hair type. My hair is very fine. I tried adding just a drop or two of oil to my SC, and it was a disaster. My hair looked so greasy I actually had to wash it again.

I love the oils as a de-frizzer after my hair is dry, and as an overnight treatment, but mixing them in with either my CC or SC doesn't seem to work for me. Trial-and-error I guess!

Trial-and-error I guess!

Yes, I can see where it might be too much for someone with very thin/fine hair. I think it is important to find the right amount of oil, too. What is just enough for one person may be too much for someone else. My hair is often dry too, which also makes a difference. I just thought it was amazing that it didn't weigh my hair down. I thought 5 drops would be too much, but instead my hair was even more bouncy. Go figure?

I had not used shampoo since Nov. 2012. Not once.

I have short, fine hair cut in the Jennifer Lawrence style pixie. It seems that the oils work best as leave ins on people with curly, thick or coarse hair.

I read that a once a month shampoo with a clarifying product works great if you are a regular cleansing conditioner user.

It worked for me and solved a LOT of my problems. I'm going to use the Neutrogena once a month from now on.

I have fine hair and got brave enough to start adding oils to my leave in with great results. For me, it works best mixed with my sc, and just 2 drops. Right now my hair is a lot drier than it has ever been and I've had to increase the amount of my cc and leave in.

I have fine thin hair, just past my shoulders. The last few years, the ends have been very dry. I used 2 drops of oil with my leave-in. 3 drops works ok, too- but not 4. I really focus the leave-in on the ends and then rake through.

I wonder if it depends on which oil as to which works best. I have the original TT, the SMC and the SHP and I cannot use them in my hair. I've tried them every which way but I think they are just a little too heavy for my hair. I DO use oils as leave in in my hair and on dry hair for more shine and tame frizzies (not an issue at all anymore since using SHP) just not the WEN oils. They work better on me on dry hair than on wet hair but still a little too heavy.

I'm using SHP oil. HD, is 1 drop too much for you? Do you think your hair is balanced on moisture? My ends are really dry. Once I hit 40, my hair started to dry out and looked horrible. I really struggled with it and am seeing some good results with WEN. I'm trying to get my hair to mid-back length and really need to moisturize those ends.

I really do think my hair is not really dry anymore but I always have to keep moisture on my ends as they can dry out easily, especially if it is windy. I may just try to add a little just at the very ends. My hair got a little drier the older I got. I am hoping I have it balanced again now though but since I still have a ways before menopause, I am worried about it getting drier again.

I have fine, thinner, shoulder-length hair and I always do 3-5 drops mixed with 1 pump CC and a dime-sized amount of FTC on my ponytail hair while soaking wet. Perfect for keeping my ends tame, frizz-free and non-poofy while leaving the rest of my hair full of body. I also do 1 pump SC mixed with 1 pump GS after the first set of leave-ins..again on soaking wet ponytail hair. Then 5 pumps mousse raked through from crown-down.

I added a drop in this morning and the additional shine is amazing. Didn't really think it could get much shinier since I do use the CC leave in, SC and GS, but it did!
