I have retiniacin from Isomers, would that work? otherwise I could order the 2% cream if you think that is effective. Doesn't NCN also have some good retinol creams/serums too? What do you think? I've been using the serum and cream for several weeks and only notice a very slight difference. Hoping this will ramp it up!

Hey virgosun. I don't think it's a bad idea at all. It can take 6-8 weeks to see any change with any lightening product. The lightening cream did get rid of some of my lighter spots but it didn't phase my darker ones. I just added in a .1% Retin-a gel and a generic Triluma which contains 4% hydroquinone. I'm going to continue using the lightening cream too and I wouldn't be without my vitamin c serum. Good luck! Hopefully, we will both be spot free before long:-)

I suggest using a retinol or retin-a product at night with HQ and the lightening cream during the day with your Vit C. Truthfully retin-a will work better if you have a doctor you can get a script from. Otherwise go under the ASDM site and either myshell or I can get some info to you if you want to get some. When I was trying to get rid of my vitiligo spots I had a script for a bleach and it was working slowly (it was working though) when I added retin-a I was spot free in a month. Otherwise ASDM has a 2% Retinol Cream. Good luck. Sorry, I didn't see this sooner.

Do Not Cocktail!! Layer them separately. I am the queen of cocktailing and I always mess up my skin, lol. Although I have mixed the firming serum and the peptide with no bad results yet. I would not cocktail retin with anything, it could come back to bite you in the b*tt.

Myshell according to a derm that I was reading on line she gave a 20 minute wait time. You may want to apply retin after 20, wait 10 minutes and do the MF. Just a thought. I don't wait because I use benoquin first wait a couple minutes and use the retin. That is because someone is always yelling at me to get out of the bathroom. Even in the middle of the night. No one will use the other bathroom because my mother has that raised toilet seat.

Hey Maren,

Sorry for this O/T post but I've been trying to find a chance to post to you.

I got a chance to try the Missha #13. Very good coverage, but it made me look like a close cousin of Casper, ya know, the Friendly Ghost?! It wasn't so much a light pinkish-beige as a whitish-beige. Like an American trying to pass as a geisha.

I haven't tried the other one, #21 or #23? If need be, I can try by mixing the #13 & darker one. I'll let you know. Can't walk around scaring the little children (it reminded me of a Halloween mask).

Sorry but now you know how pale I am, lol. Try some bronzer over it till you get something darker or get #23 and mix if necessary. Thank you for the laugh.

If I didn't have this Tria Tan it probably would have been perfect, but the #21 was a much better choice. It was still a bit alarming when I first put it on, but "adjusted" beautifully. Let us know!

I did wait a few minutes in between the Retin-a and MF cream. Do you think I should wait after I apply the MF cream before I apply my oil and moisturizer?

I do not wait, but that is because of bathroom time. Try it both ways and if no problem, don't wait.

When I got a prescription for Retin-A years ago, the instructions were to wait 20 minutes. It was burned into my brain because I was clock-watching -- I was impatient! The reason is to make sure our skin is completely dry to avoid irritation. When I was using the Tria, I'd THINK my skin was totally dry, but I could tell if it wasn't because it would kind of drag across my face. So I'm thinking the 20 min is a good guideline.
