Aveda fans - what are your fave products?

I am currently loving Aveda's "Pure Abundance Style Prep". This gives amazing body and does not dry out my hair. It's a winner! I use their Shampure shampoo and conditioner and alt every other week with the Madder Root conditioner. I have baby fine, color treated hair. Love the shine and body I get from this. Plus it smells fantastic! Started getting into their makeup more as well. So far loving their lipsticks, eyeshadow, blush, and foundation. Very natural looking colors.

Anyone else love Aveda and have any particular favorite products?

I go to an Aveda salon and LOVE the way their products smell!

I now use WEN, but liked the Color Conserve product line. The Rosemary Mint shampoo smells fantastic, but is too harsh for my colored hair. I did get a bar of the soap!

I really like their eye shadows and lip gloss. Both had great pigmentation. The eye shadows in frosts and in matte formulas really wear well and are really well pigmented.

Years ago the used to do a rosemary mint shampoo that was amazing. There was also one that was dark brown that I loved. I used to get it at a salon but then they moved away.

I'm still learning about all the products available in the line. I haven't tried any of their makeup yet, but I've been tempted!

I started with Shampure and now I'm using the Smooth Infusion shampoo & conditioner. On my first visit, I bought some of the Phomollient styling foam. My last two stylists have told me to be careful not to overdo that because it can be drying. My latest purchase was the Dry Remedy daily moisturizing oil, and I like the way it makes my hair feel so smooth without any frizzies.

A couple of visits ago, the stylist put something on my hair after she took out the foils. She called it Liquid Sunshine. She put it around my hairline close to my face and left it on for about 5 minutes and rinsed. Is that something that can be purchased for home use? This was a new stylist for me and none of the others have ever put that on me. I forgot to ask about it last time. I'm going to request it next time I go in for foils if it's not something we can purchase for home. I loved those highlights!

I use Aveda products and have my hair cut at an Aveda salon. Blue Malva shampoo is great for gray & blond hair as it takes the yellow casts out. I also like Rosemary Mint shampoo and the Control Paste. The control paste gives me a piecey look without build up or weighing my hair down. From time to time I try some of their makeup. I have used other products like their conditioners and other color shampoos.

I've been using their Clove Color Shampoo and Conditioner for a few years now and it works great for me.

I am new to the Aveda line and bought the Shampure line, I guess about a month ago maybe not that long), so far I like it. Not crazy about the scent but not a deal breaker. Next I will try their color conserve line. I have a sample for the smooth infusion line they sent me so I will try that one and see how I like it. I may just go with the smooth infusion next if I like it. These products feel like good quality.

I love the Aveda Foot Relief lotion. It is so cooling and it keeps your heels soft.

I used to use & love Shampure shampoo, but now im extremely happy with Wen. My all-time favorite lipstick color was Aveda's Sheherazad. This was back in the days when it came in a gold metal tube. If anyone knows if it's still found anywhere please let me know. Cheers!

Hi F1wild! An Aveda consultant told me that the best match for the discontinued Shizandra is Cherrybud. She also mentioned that Aveda is currently reformulating their lipsticks with a new scent and are bringing back some old faves. Not sure when but their Fall makeup collection comes out in mid August. Maybe then? Perhaps Shizandra will be one of the lipsticks they bring back. She said she's had may customers state how sad they were that this shade was retired. Keep your fingers crossed!

I go to an Aveda salon and she used the Naturally Straight on me and it was awesome. My hair stayed straight and smooth all day and night even with all the FL humidity. I used to use Aveda products when I was younger. They are too drying for my hair now, but I loved the Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner and Shampure. All their stuff smells so good.

The volumizing tonic is a great root lifter. I have tried many brands and this one works.
