Tea Tree/Lavender

I've been using Tea Tree due to scalp issues and it has worked wonders, but makes fine, thin hair to soft and flat. Anyone that uses the Lavender, does it add volume?

Yes, it definitely adds volume.

I get lots of volume from Lavender, but I also get lots of volume from Tea Tree. I also have fine hair, and these are two of my favorite formulas. And you're correct, TT is amazing for problem scalps.

Other than your hair being too soft and flat, are you having good results with Wen? The reason I ask, is my hair has a tendency to get flat and "funky" if I don't rinse well enough. I have to rinse, rinse, rinse........then rinse some more, lol. Also, I make sure not to apply my leave in anywhere close to my scalp. I just gather the length (like I'm making a low ponytail) and apply the leave in from the nape of my neck down.

Also, I really like both the mousse and Volumizing Treatment Spray for additional volume.

The mousse adds more volume than any Wen product I have used.

I have the exact opposite hair type from yours (thick and coarse), but I received the Lavender in a discovery kit when I first started using WEN. I can tell you that it did create lift for my heavy hair, but I had to give the bottle away after only using half.

This was due to the smell, unfortunately - way too strong. It was overwhelming to me, almost as though I couldn't catch my breath in the shower. I know that I'm in the minority, though, because so many WENers love this scent. Had it not been for the smell, I would have liked to continue using the LAV for the lift it gave my hair.

I also didn't care for the scent but it also made my hair dry and I had to use with another Wen formula until I finished using it. I wouldn't purchase this particular formula again.

Lav definitely adds volume to my hair, but so does tea tree. In addition to DoxieMomma's rinse, rinse and rinse - do you add water to your cc so that it becomes frothy? I've found tea tree is one of the thicker cc's and really does need quite a bit of water added while you're working it into your hair to get it to "bloom". Also, massaging your scalp and parting your hair in several different places as you rinse makes sure you get it off your scalp.

Don't know how much you're using as leave in, but with my fine hair, I use a pea size as leave in and am careful not to get it on my scalp, just my ends. With shorter hair I can't do a ponytail, but I lean over and scrunch it in my ends first, then just lightly scrunch it in over the rest of my head, and really work it in.
