At first, I liked it, but then I didn't. For me, facial oils seem to make more sense to use them in the dead of winter. I'm currently trying an experiment of not using any moisturizer at all. I do use IT CC+ Cream or a Missha BB Cream, both of which have moisturizing ingredients in them, but I'm not using a separate moisturizer. I'm having surprisingly positive results. Just hope I don't wake up one morning to find my face all shriveled up! LOL

Did you get that idea of just washing without a product from Volmel55? I remember that post. I did that last night because of a severe reaction trying a sample of a new night cream. Glad your having positive results. I'm chicken lol!

Yes, I think that's her "name". Someone posted a video here oh, a week or so ago, called "My Skincare Journey", or something like that. She said something about following the Obagi philosophy, which I've never looked into, but that woman has beautiful skin, and is the same age as me. My skin is in probably the best shape it's been in years, but at one point I wondered if I was getting too much moisture by using a separate product and still getting it in my foundation. I still use my cleansing oil, daily exfoliator, Vitamin C Serum, AHA treatment, and Retin-A, just not a separate moisturizer. So far, so good, and keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes that's her & she does have beautiful skin & looks so much younger than her 59 yrs. I think its a mixture of genes & good skin care. If I remember correctly, its you who uses Dr. Young's Camelia oil cleanser. If so, does it work well on normal skin types? I don't have any skin issues & coconut oil works well for me but I am always open to a new oil that is not harsh. Thanks!

Oh, she's 59? I love that stuff! I've tried another cleansing oil and just didn't like it at all. I think it would work very well for you - actually for any skin type.

If you use JM Argan oil, will that replace having to use a night time cream or an eye cream? I'm trying to simplfy my skin care routine. Any suggestions? Thank you.

It would probably depend on your skin and what you want your skin products to do. For myself with my skin I would say no. You will probably get many different answers.

I agree with what has been said. It depends on your skin. For me, no oil is enough. While they do hydrate, I've never seen the anti aging claims they make about them. I would still use a serum under it and my skin is a little dry so I'd layer the oil over a cream.

When she first came on the Q I bought tons of that stuff. It didn't work for me. I did the same thing with Wen. I have the gallon jug and more bottles of both of those things. I could sell them. Instead I give the Wen to my friend who loves it.

I don't buy either one anymore.

It does for me. I have combo skin (in my 60's) and heavy night cream and eye creams for "mature" women cause problems for me. I use the JM's regular oil and massage it in and don't forget the neck.

I like that it has no discernable scent and it soaks in right away. Fragrances in creams cause my eyes to get puffy. No mess on pillow cases either if you wait a few minutes before going to bed or pat lightly with a tissue. Love this stuff.

Daytime, I add in Bobbi Brown hydrating eye cream and moisturizer. I use a serum type foundation with SPF (Laura Geller Take- Cover) to avoid adding yet another layer. With 90 degree temps and dry conditions in California, you want the least you can get away with. The new LG Optics powder is another great way to gently take away oil without powder build-up.

I love to simplify and the great thing is that almost all new make-ups are multi-taskers. Saves time & dollars.

Sometimes, Less IS More.

For a few months, I have been using aubrey's ritvitalizing therapy serum which is a Rosa Mosquera Rose Hip Seed oil at night which is IMO is best for aging skin. I just apply it where I see some fine lines. Its very gentle on my normal skin & dries fast & is very silky. (altho its for dry skin) I like mixing Jojoba oil which is a wax ester & mimics our skins natural sebum & mix it with Shea Terra argan oil or Now's Sweet Almond oil. I do like JM's but find Shea Terra Absorbs faster & its a very similar quality Argan oil.

Sometimes I will wear a night cream, my favorite is PTR which I will also use on my neck & chest. I just do what I feel my skin needs & works for me.

I am not recommending because we all have different skin types & reactions. This is basically my routine after cleansing & toning. My favorite toners are Mario Badescu's Aloe toner or just a cool Spritz of Rose Water.

I use my serums under the JM oil, day and night. I also use her spf during the day. I use her light oil during the day if I am going to wear makeup. During the winter when I became quite dry I added in Skinn's Collagenesis 24 hour cream.

Have any of you noticed a scent in the light oil? I have, but not in her other oil. It goes away quickly, but I must say, it isn't pleasant. Anyone else experience the same?

Thanks!

I don't see why you couldn't use JM Argon Oil as your moisturizer and eye cream. I've been using it that way for a couple weeks. For some reason, I had a reddish rough spot under my left eye. I'm not sure if it was caused by my Tatcha serum, La Prairie scrub, eye cream, etc. However, what I did was stop all my current skin care products and started just using my husband's JM Argon Oil. I also had a few deluxe samples of her Argon Milk and have been putting that on first followed by the Argon Oil. My irritation went away within a few days and my skin looks great! I am blessed with pretty good skin anyway - but I'm really happy with this regimen. I've got combination skin (oily in the t-zone) and my skin is not too oily from it.

For me I use her regular Argan oil and then the Argan Milk which is a serum like version. Just a bit thicker as its Argan oil and water spun and a high velocity to break down molecules. It doesn't separate. I do this once Every other day. Sometimes I do a little Infinity Cream under the eyes. But always regular Argan Oil every day, twice daily.
