I just do not believe her.... she talks like she is reading a script. Must have been hired based on her looks alone.

Well, I just saw her on Chaz' show and I wondered if I had missed something. I wonder why he picked her ? ? She has only been using WEN for about a year I think she said. What about his other sidekicks that have been with him from the start? So, then, my mind runs a muck. Is he selling? Is she a rep for the company that is buying? It is almost as if she has come out of nowhere.

Anyone he picked would seem to come out of nowhere. We have known about her for months, tho. He introduced her first on QVC Japan. She is there for the reasons he stated. He can't do hair, run the business, shoot infomercials, have time to create, have a life and appear on QVC in US, UK, Japan and Germany. He needs a clone. She is TV ready, and has a marketing background. I am giving her a chance. Please nobody start some panic that he's selling.

Yes, you missed a lot. He's not selling, she's not the rep for the company that's buying. That was a BIG stretch. She's going to be presenting WEN during the overnights or when Chaz can't be here. He's been having her on the shows all month explaining the situation. He's just too busy to do everything, he needs a break now and then.

This is her first time talking on air here - there's a lot to learn, not just about WEN, but about QVC. Some kindness wouldn't be so hard, now would it?

I agree with Okiebug. It's difficult just starting a new job. Try starting one that millions of people will be watching. She'll adjust. Give her a chance.

I get that Chaz needs a backup BUT I'm wondering if she was hired by the Q as the models are. I would much rather have Joanne or someone from TeamWen. To me it seems like she's selling herself not Wen. Sorry but I'll only be watching Chaz.

OK. I guess I worry needlessly. Every time a fave company is purchased the products seem to suffer. And, I do not believe that I expressed any concerns over her presentation, just her presence.

I think she is a very beautiful girl with beautiful hair. She is obviously a great person to represent Wen. However, I almost wish he would let someone from team Wen do it. I really love his stylist, Anna. He did say that Gina lives in PA, so she is local to the QVC area. Someone from team Wen may not be able to be there either. I would rather it be Chaz all the time, but I'm sure Gina will do fine.

I have only seen her briefly and don't remember her name. Clearly, her hair was good before using Wen. However, the bottom line will be how her presence will affect the sales when she appears. She lives in the area and can appear on QVC easily. Perhaps, she will make an appearance when there are Beauty Shows where there are only short showings. As was the case this month, Chaz left and came back. This woman can appear when Chaz is gone. Surprised he doesn't do a show with her or at least I didn't see any shows where this occurred.

No one mentioned this woman's name. That is a marketing issue already. Time will only tell.

beaches, she may be selling herself unintentionally right now - she knows she has a big job trying to gain the trust of the WENners, so maybe she's trying too hard right now to prove that she's capable.

Gina was introduced by Chaz and Mary Beth both, her name was mentioned several times in this thread, earlier in the month she was introduced. She's on with Chaz and Mary Beth for this show, a little at a time. That's the same way they introduce and train all new reps and hosts. Nothing unusual.

I don't know what her background is but I'm guessing that if Chaz believes in her and hired her then she has to be qualified. Being a presenter of a product on live TV isn't easy (I assume this of course since I have no experience here!) so just give her the benefit of the doubt, reserve any judgments and let her get trained and learn. No one will ever be as good as Chaz, that's a given, but her hair is Wen-worthy, right? I'm sure she will be just fine.

Thank you for summing up what I was thinking. Give her a chance ladies, there will be a learning curve and I would think that it would take several months for her to feel comfortable in front of the cameras and really hit her stride.

I just thought of something. I am a WENNER and have been for years. Love his products and what it has done for my hair. And, I do understand why Chaz needs a break from his very busy schedule, but, the only rep that I know of that subs on TV is for Perricone. Judith Ripka does almost all of her own shows. She started phasing in her DIL and son at times to cover for her at night. (and, by the way she just sold her company) Joan Rivers is usually there. Most of the companies do have that face of the person and not a rep that I can recall. Mally is there, Laura Geller is there, Louis Del Olio is there, Susan Graver etc. (Although, I believe that some people would like to substitute a rep for her.) I do believe that this does bear watching. Very interesting.

I understand what you're saying Okiebug but I'm just saying I think the Q may have had a part of hiring her. Being a longtime Wengirl like yourself I don't think she is going to teach us anything new. I would have liked to see someone from the Team, perhaps Anna or Danny. The bottom line is , if the products don't change and the Q continues to give us a better value nothing has changed.

I just feel confused... Not about that Chaz needs a bit of help and a break, I completely understand that. The thing is I guess I am confused about his choice for the person to fill in for him. I have no problem with her, she has lovely hair and seems quite nice. I guess I am confused how he ended up picking her out of anyone who could have filled in for him. He usually has so much meaning behind all his choices he makes in life and in business and this choice for someone who is representing him in his absence seems so out of thin air (could not think of a better way to express that) to me. Maybe there is a lot more to how and why he picked her I have no idea, it might be why I feel confused. I guess we will see how it goes, but I sure will miss Chaz when he is unable to be there...

I wish I believed he was using Gina to have some extra break time, that man works so hard! Just hearing his schedule makes me tired. But, at least at first, it sounds like she isn't replacing him so much as appearing at times he never woulda been on anyways. More Wen for us! Like July, he usually doesn't come back until August and this time he couldn't (somewhere I read they will be dealing with Wen4). Does anyone know if Gina will be doing any of the OTOs or new kits?

I'm happy Chaz finally got a backup - now there can be short WEN airings during beauty shows when Chaz isn't in town. She seems fine, has great hair. I don't see what the big deal is.

Judith Ripka, Susan Graver and Joan Rivers all have others from their company represent them at times, usually during the late/overnight hours. I wouldn't compare some of the others because they aren't on the air anywhere near as much as WEN is (also they don't all continue to own a brick and mortar business and do informercials in addition to all their home shopping commitments).

I would also remind people that some QVC hosts were not very good when they first started on the air, which is why QVC puts them on late at night at first to learn and moves them to other hours later. While I haven't seen Gina on the air yet, I agree with those that say to give her a chance.
