When I read the OPs, there seem to be all kinds of confusion about what to use, how to use, when to use, when to mix, how to mix, etc. GR vs. QVC?

Caring for your hair (or anything else) shouldn't be so complicated. I first started back in the day when Pumpkin was the seasonal...I have tried other seasonals and other formulations, but all this constant experimenting is getting expensive and annoying. Some work, some don't.

Plus some seem to work better in humid weather, some better in dry.

This reminds me of the issues with the Roma 2 bags. "Train them", condition them, then some handles crack, some are smeared...too complicated for a bag!

I use WEN exclusively - and I like it better than my Aveda products I used to use...but this is getting obsessive and strange. Just my opinion.

I'm not the only one with these issues - many posts seem to be searching for some kind of a Holy Grail of a system.

Again, that's just my opinion.

I still don't understand what your point is (I think I was responding to your "obsessive and strange" comment initially). If you have a process or a CC or combination that works for you consistently, great. Use it. I do But of course as new scents and products come out, or as people are introduced to the line for the first time, people are going to be trying new things and wanting to discuss working them into their routine...given the nature of online discussion forums in general and the explicit topic of this one in particular. There are millions of contented WEN users worldwide who are happy using what they use and aren't here talking about it.

Just my opinion.

This is just my opinion and I'm not trying to verbally bash or discourage anyone who uses WEN, but...if something as simple as cleaning your hair is becoming a tiresome and expensive chore, it might be time to try something else or maybe just go back to shampoo and conditioner. I know that many people said that WEN works great for them and maybe it does, but shampoos and conditioners are not going anywhere and not all shampoos/conditioners are bad.

I use Nick Chavez' Traditions Yucca shampoo and conditioner. My hair is not screaming at me for not using a cleansing conditioner only. My hair loves it. If you find that using a hair care routine in becoming a chore and expensive, then it might be time to move on from it.

And WEN ladies, please don't be angry at me for saying this. Again, I'm not verbally bashing or trying to turn people away from WEN. But if something as simple as cleaning your hair is turning into an expensive and bothersome task for some...can't really blame them for not wanting to do it anymore. Shampoo and conditioner isn't going anywhere and it doesn't make everyone's hair a mess. If that were the case, Chaz Dean would be a trillionaire and every other salon would've been out of business by now.

I think it's just fun to share what works for each of us..I know I have changed what I do based on what I read here that worked for someone with similar hair and sometimes it helps and sometimes I just learn that that particular tip/suggestion isn't for me. That's the fun of it. I think the moment someone becomes stressed out they simply won't do it anymore.

I've had to change up my exercise routine because I am no longer getting the results I once did. Or certain allergy medications don't have the same effect this year as they did in times past. Bottom line, lots of variables can change results that once worked. Our hair is no different. It's nice to have other people's opinion.

My "experiment" with Wen began over two years ago. I watched the QVC shows with Chaz Dean for over a year before I finally ordered his product. I liked the idea of one product replacing many. For me, it has been an adventure that is neither expensive nor annoying. I still use the cleansing conditioners (some have given better results than others) and the styling cream (occasionally), but I have never returned a thing. Wen is less expensive and less time consuming than anything else I've tried over the years. I may be on the downhill side of fifty, but my hair looks like it is twenty-something I have found most posters on this forum to be very helpful. If someone with different texture/condition/color/etc. hair asks me about what I use, I am comfortable coming here for suggestions. As for the occasional "obsessive/strange" behavior on this forum, it's an open forum; it's to be expected.

Maybe I missing something, but what's so complicated? I put it on my hair, run a wide toothed comb through my hair, leave it sit for a few minutes and rinse it out. No different than any other shampoo/conditioner. Yes, I've gone through a few different formulas to find the right for me, but it wasn't a big deal. They all work well, some just better than others. I think some newbies may be a little apprehensive about not using something that lathers to wash your hair, but other than that it's no different than trying any other line of hair products.

I think a lot of the questions on how to use wen comes from those who are new to the product, or those wanting to maybe expand what they use. I have never found using wen " to complicated" or " boring", but with all the different formulas did have to try a few before finding what works best on my hair. As for wanting the old seasonals, I to am guilty, I happen to love the Winter Vanilla Mint and the Fall Ginger Pumpkin! For one the scents were my favorite and two, they worked well for me. And I also have really enjoyed a couple of the new seasonals. For me personally, if I was not happy using a product I would simply find something else that makes me happy, but I love using wen. And for those who still crave the old seasonals there are lots being sold on ebay.

So then I tried Aloe Cucumber - bad. Honey Peach - OK. Orange Blossom - terrible.

I asked if seasonals like Pumpkin will return and was told I was SELFISH and Chaz is a genius at experimenting & doesn't want to repeat himself.

I came here for assistance - I do like WEN - and got insulted.

I see many posters asking questions and trying MANY products - always looking for the perfect one.

I guess I will take the advice of many serious WENNers and go back to Aveda when I run out of product.
