I just posted on another place that when I checked the questions and answers part of description of the TS, someone had asked the question about where these products are manufactured.

The answer was simply: China. If that is indeed true; won't even think of buying any of these products.

I'd rather not buy anything from China, but would consider just the brushes. Would like the rest to be made somewhere else.

Many companies have their formulations PACKAGED in China. China is the main country used for packaging cosmetics.The formulas are not manufactured in China. I believe this to be true with SKINN makeup and IT.

ItsMe, I own the Naturally Pretty Palette...the all matte palette, and the box states that it is made in China.

I could be wrong, but I think it's the assorted packaging that's manufactured in China, not the actual cosmetics. Granted, it doesn't say anything about "animal derived" and I don't know the process for collecting snail slime, or how animal derived ingredients are considered in PETA's certification, but....

From the IT Cosmetics website:
Does It Cosmetics test on animals?

We have never and will never test any of our products on animals. We care certified by PETA as a Cruelty Free Company.

They use silk worms or moths to make the silk in their powder .They say they do not kill the worms they are allowed to drop out of their cocoon and starve to death. I know everyone is laughing at this but....

I think they must sell and test things in ChinaJust my own opinion.

I really wish QVC would state up front if a product is tested on animals or animal products are used.It is very important to many people these days.

I checked the items I own. The Brow Power is made in Korea where they have exceptional standards for cosmetics, and the Celebration Foundation is made in the USA. I own a Vitality Disc and its origin is not marked. I believe you only legally need to state where something was made if it is outside of the US, so I assume the Vitality Disc was made here as well, and am hopeful that this new palette was. I don't know about the others. It's a shame that Q doesn't display this information on all beauty products.

Gazelle & JFL, good point... I've read that some cosmetics are manufactured in one country and packaged in China.

Deb, thanks for letting me know about your palette... sounds like the product is from China too.

Nighthawks, the animal testing issue is important to me, but the other reason it matters is that too many products coming out of china contain very harmful ingredients... from food, to toothpaste, etc. I want to have more confidence in the quality control of something that goes on my skin.

I checked a few more - the Vitality Flush cheek stick was made in USA as is the Hello Lashes mascara. The Tightliner eyeliner was made in Korea. The Bye Bye Pores is made in China. And still claims "cruelty free, no animal testing" which I thought was mandatory in China. The brushes are synthetic, so definitely not animal hair. I still don't know about the palette or the bye bye undereye. I'm ordering this. Haven't purchased much from Q lately but I do like this brand a lot.

According to FDA regulations, a company MUST list the name of the country in which the MAJORITY of the product is manufactured. It CANNOT state the county of origin in China if only the packaging is from China, as the packaging is not the majority of the product. So that is not correct what another poster mentioned. What they CAN say is "packaging made in China, product made in [whatever country]". So if a product simply says "made in China", that means it was more than just the packaging that was made in China.

I wish people would familiarize themselves with FDA labeling regulations rather than make huge assumptions. Or perhaps some just do not wish to know the truth, as ignorance is bliss. (not directed at the OP, just a general statement).

being made in China and being sold in China are two different things in the cosmetics industry. A product can be made in China and not tested on animals if it is not being sold there. It can now also be made AND sold in China and still not be required to be tested if they meet other requirements.

IT cosmetics does NOT test on animals but some of their products DO contain animal-derived ingredients, such as their collagen.

You have made often made a point that it's not only animal testing that you're against but also companies that use animal derived ingredients. You are quick to proclaim that certain companies are disingenuous for not disclosing certain information. HD, I have to say, I kind of find your comments disingenuous when you slam IT, Loreal, and others, all while you tell others how much you like Missha's Perfect Cover, and that you've been using it for years, but Missha also sells a line of snail slime products. That's an animal derived ingredient, right? What makes other companies so horrible, but Missha is OK?

I know for a fact that the vitality face disc is made in China. It says so on the compact itself.
