On 6/21/2014 chrystaltree said:
All good advice. It's the moisture, sweat and water from your morning shower. The skin never gets dry. After your shower, dry the area with your hair dryer. When you are bone dry, put deodorant under your girls and always wear a fresh bra. Dust some powder if you like. I think A&D Ointment will clear up the soreness and irritation now. Then you can move forward. This all works for soreness and irritation in the thigh creases too.

Drying the area with a cool blow dryer after showering is a good practice. Some rashes are just heat rash, chafing, or an irritation from dampness and may be helped by powder or A&D. However, a fungal infection needs an anti-fungal like Lotrimin to clear it up. The warm, dark, damp environment in skin folds is just the kind of environment that is inviting to fungal infections, and they are very common in such areas. You have to differentiate between a routine skin irritation or heat rash and an established fungal infection. Fungal infections need specific treatment to kill the fungus.

I was out in sweltering heat and now I have some kind of heat type of rash. How do I know if it's yeast or something else? What is the best remedy to get rid of the itchy, itchy rash? I know I must not be the only one that has had this type of problem, especially with summer up on us.

It's probably itchy because you sweat and they your bra rubs against it, causing some irritation. Then you sweat again and it's just a vicious cycle. After you shower and dry off, put some baby cornstarch powder under there before you get dressed. Put some more on when you change for bed at night.

Blow the area absolutely dry with a hair dryer set on low heat. FOOT powder works well too. ""Itchies"" cannot live without moisture. I don't use corn based powder because some itchies like corn. The blowing dry is the most important part.

lotrimin or clotrimazole cream. I think you can get it OTC. If not, have your doctor prescribe it. What you have is a yeast rash and this cream clears it up overnight.

Put the cream on at bed-time and then wear a cotton bra. You will be surprised at how fast this will clear up - just try not to sweat too much and always wear cotton bras....

HTH

He said the same thing that gives people athletes foot is what causes the rash. It is made bad by moisture and darkness.

I get it and I use it and it works.
