Does anyone know how long it takes for things to get to QVC now that they use the postal service for returns? With UPS you could check where your package is but you can't with the new postal service one. Thanks.

I usually give it about a week. On the return form there's a box to check for them to notify you when they process the return/refund. I just mailed a return last Friday and got my email this morning that the refund has been processed.

The postal clerk will scan your item/packing label and give you a receipt, if you request it. On the receipt will be the tracking code, so you can check it on the USPS site and proof that it was accepted as a return, just in case it gets lost. Regarding, the Q's Track My Return - it never works for me, so no matter which carrier I use I always get a receipt w/ the number. IHTH

Depending on where you live. I am in IL and it normally takes 2 days & sometimes 3. Then it can take up to 5 days before you see a credit on your account. You would really be better off in some cases to mail it back yourself. Where I live the tracking no. is automatically on the receipt so I don't have to pay for it even though the clerk tries to sell it. If it is lightweight, I mail it back on my own not using the Q's label. If it's heavy, I use the Q's.

QVC has been using USPS for returns for a long time, at least on everything I have bought over the last couple of years. I did order something on Easy pay day and it was the first time the label offered a choice for either USPS or UPS. They used to be like that years ago but for the last couple of years, I have only had USPS labels.

There is a way to track USPS returns but you'll have to spend about $1.30 for what they call a "Certificate of Mailing" - it also is documented proof that you shipped the item back over just the receipt you get when you drop them off at the Post Office. Some companies actually require a "Certificate of Mailing" as proof if there are any problems with the return being received. I don't believe QVC requires them for proof in the event of something not showing up but I always pay the $1.30 on anything above a certain amount just so I have the option of tracking, if I wanted it. I also noticed that I get an email from QVC stating the they know the return is on it's way. HSN always emails you when their labels are activated and it doesn't cost more to acquire.

I always have my returns weighed first to see if paying the return shipping fees myself will be cheaper. If they cost less than using the labels, for any returns (not just QVC, HSN, etc) then I pay for it myself and toss the label.

I find with the majority of returns that it costs me less to pay the shipping fees myself.

That's a really good idea. Thanks for mentioning it. I always wonder how a person could verify they actually shipped the return when using the pre-made return label, if QVC didn't receive it and delivery confirmation wasn't purchased. Personally, I don't want to spend additional money for D/C even it if isn't that much. I'll remember to get one of those receipts after this.
