Can Anyone Recommend a Mascara That Doesn't Smear?

I'm looking for a good mascara that doesn't give me raccoon eyes in the afternoon. I want one from a company that does not test on animals and would like one on the less expensive side. Paula's Choice has one called Illicit Lash Mascara that I was thinking of ordering. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I've used all kinds of mascaras and the only one I can find that doesn't smear in the afternoon is Cover Girl. I don't want to continue using that because of animal testing. Thanks for any recommendations.

Do you wear eye cream and/or concealer? Those might contribute to raccoon eyes.

I only wear eye cream at night, but I do use Laura Mercier concealer. I used to use eye cream during the day but quit in hopes of getting rid of the raccoon eyes.

I use Mally and never have problems. Maybe just avoid doing the bottom lashes.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara! Sounds like you may have an oily foundation that you are wearing under your eyes. Nothing should smear.

I don't have smearing from IT Cosmetics Tightline for the bottom lashes. So far so good with Mally Volumizing for the top.

I like L'Oreal mascaras, and they don't test on animals. I use Lash Out on my bottom lashes, but I don't wear concealer.

Maybelline Great Lash. L'Oreal Voluminous. Neither one smear on me and I use an eye cream and concealer.

The only mascara I have ever used that does not smear from my bottom lashes is Lancôme Definicils. I actually wear that on the bottom and something else on top lashes.

I have not used Paula's Illicit Lash but I do have Paula's new MegaLength Mascara and it does not smear on me.

I'm on my third tube of Flower Beauty Extreme Measures. Nothing I don't love about it. It's Drew Barrymore's line, and only sold at Walmart.

Trish McEveoy Lash Curling. It's the tubular type of mascara, so if you don't like that it wouldn't work for you. It's one of my faves.

It Cosmetics Tightline in waterproof definitely does not smudge on me, but it sometimes leaves black flakes all over my cheeks and glasses. I'll have to try the non-waterproof formula. That said, it passed the highest smudge tests I can give it without swimming: a wedding, 87% humidity, a light rain, and a funeral. I wore it today and survived a few tears (the funeral was yesterday) and I have no black flakes. It's been on nearly 12 hours now.

I love Blinc! No racoon eyes, no flaking and so easy to remove (just warm water and it peels off).

it would seem that when I use a good lid primer I get no smearing from any mascara. these days I'm using it hello lashes
