I did order the TSV. I have used some of his products in the past and felt they were effective but wow...confusing why so many products do the same thing. I use the peel pads so why would I buy the peel they showed on the midnight show? He has a couple of eye serums and I don't know why since they basically do the same thing. Does anyone have a regimen they use that is effective for the over 55 age group and doesn't involve more than 4 of his products? I have the kit he showed tonight with the travel sizes but didn't reorder as I don't like the lotion and I could buy some of the other products on ebay.

I wouldn't overdue the peel thing.

I used to love his products, but they are not cruelty free and I just can't buy them now. Wish he would change that.

Oh, to answer your question, I use an exfoliating cleanser, followed by Dr. Denese Clinical reserve cream (great) at night. I alternate the Clinical Cream with Olay Regenerist cream (two-fer at Costco all of the time. I also use Dr. Denese Retinol serum followed by argan oil on some days.

When I used PTR, I used the pads, jumped in the shower to rinse, then used Unwrinkle Day, then at night the PM serum followed by argan oil---on alternate nights, I used the Unwrinkle Night cream. I loved his stuff...but love the furbabies more.

Thanks.

I have tried many PTR products but kept few. I did love the FirmX Gel Peel. It is fun to do, I thought. But as Paula Begoun reviewed it, " In the end, this is more of an overpriced scrub than a state-of-the-art way to peel skin."

As for the pads, which are chemical exfoliants (AHAs) vs manual, well Paula isn't too thrilled about them either. "Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads, for All Skin Types, are alcohol-free pads that contain 20% glycolic acid, a level that is close to peel strength, but before you get too excited, know that the pH of the solution is almost a 6, which is well beyond the level needed for the acid to exfoliate skin. There is no reason to consider these pricey pads (though they’re certainly not a problem for skin); the many antioxidants and retinol will not remain stable due to jar packaging."

The packaging and ph level nullify much of the potency of the AHA (glycolic acid).

Both have loyal followers. But these 2 products have counterparts in other companies which are both cheaper AND more effective.

I have been receiving on A-D the Un-wrinkle kit which was a TSV. It contains the Creme Cleanser, Un-wrinkle Serum, Un-wrinkle Creme, and Un-wrinkle Night. I also love the Un-wrinkle Lip and the FirmX Firming Night Moisturizer. I always check the PTR website as they have awesome sales. Just recently I bought the 2 oz. Un-wrinkle Serum which was on sale for $55 (regularly $195). Currently they have the 1 oz. on sale for $40 (regularly $120), Un-wrinkle Creme on sale for $55 (regularly $110), and Lashes to Die For Liner on sale for $14 (regularly $28). They offer free shipping on orders over $50.

The PM retinol states on the bottle that it is not tested on animals. I called the company about his other products and they told me that his products are NOT tested on animals, that it is a cruelty free company. So I kept the ones that actually stated it on the bottle. I do not have the unwrinkle cream as I love my Josie Argon Oil but I wanted to try this duo. Doesn't this mean they do not test on animals? I am totally confused now.

I'm sorry, Loves. I did not wish to confuse the issue.
Sorry, but this is not true. They do test on animals as required by law, which is because they sell in China and China requires them to test. They have verified this in an email to me and more recently to another poster and she copied and pasted the email, including his companies' director's info who sent the email so you can contact her directly if you wish. The email specifically says that their new packaging will no longer include the "cruelty free" information. This is the facts. I don't know what CS rep told you that they do not test but they were wrong as several of us have emails from their customer service to prove it. I will copy and past the other poster's email she JUST received:

"Sorry for the delay in responding.

We do not test on animals but the Chinese government does. This came to light long after our products were registered to sell there. It was recently announced that as of June this year, China will stop testing on animals.

Our newest packaging no longer says Animal Cruelty Free.

I much prefer the Firm X over the Peel Pads as it just seems to be more effective on my skin. I liked his PP much better than Dr D's but PP in general have been a let down to me. I did read a comparison of current PP on the market and the ones that got the highest rating were those by Dr Gross. I tried his Glow pads but the gradual ST in it prevented me from being able to use them. My face and ST don't mix well.

Well, it is June so if the above statement is correct (and I have no reason to doubt it's accuracy,) those who have avoided certain brands due to them selling in China might feel more at ease now. And Kudos to China for stopping the practice.

We went through this before about Paula's site and her list of who tests and who doesn't - I believe it was regarding Dr Perricone and the outcome, if I remember correctly, was that Paula's site was not accurate. Anyone else recall that thread?
